Water wasn't usable due to high chlorine levels, bathroom falling apart, campground overgrown with blackberry bushes, large tree branch fell out of tree, luckily, on to a vancant site but could have created a lot of damage or injury of guests. It's a great location but feels significantly neglected.

Our third perfect stay at Pine Point! This remains our absolute favorite campground for its incredible privacy. The layout features a fantastic central area that is perfect for gathering, cooking, and eating together. Down by the water, the beach offers a rare and welcome amount of shade, with a safe swimming area positioned well away from the main boat lane. It is an ideal spot for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, and it is exceptionally dog-friendly!

Great Place to put family and friends for a campout. We had 28 peoples in camp. Theres Plenty of room to give 12 to 14 different campsites .to individual campers. We had one area with plenty of room to setup the Breakfast and Dinner area. There is access to the lake Area with a Small trail to the lake. (Great hike for the young at heart). We had 2 small fishing boats and 3 Kayaks. For the water enjoyment .... Available is Fishing Swimming, And a small beach for the Sunshine peoples. (No Yuppie camping meaning no power or sewer hookups). Great Place if you're a Serious camper. Like us Trailers, RVs, Tents. There is one challenge there @ this Group area to make it work and we did, and it was really enjoyable to Police ourselves. Meaning no Forst service personal was ever there (Enjoyable). Gret Place for 4 nights of enjoyable campfires and campout stories ..Great Time for us go there Best recommended time is spring ..Later summertime the Lake is really low.. But still good fishing on the Mccloud Arm. Go with a smile to share and a story to tell the Family and Friends ... Gary

Awesome Campground! I took a group of 50 and everyone loved it. Great loop layout with good amount of space for people to spread out. 2 of the sites were loops which was great for trailers. The rest of the sites were regular sites but long enough for 2 vehicles per site. The Bathrooms - 2 stalls, pit toilets, stocked with toilet paper and mopped each day. Trash - 2 Small bear proof trash cans. (One on each end). Water - 2 water spigots. (One on each end). Lake Access - The back side of spot #11 is where the trail for the lake begins. Central Area - Spot #7 had 3 picnic tables already so we used it as a community site. It has a fire ring and tons of room for the group to set up chairs around it. We used the leveled parking pad as the kitchen and set all our grills in it. Entry Gate - You can close the gates without locking them. We had a few unknown folk drive through the campground looking for empty campsites. Luckily we had vehicles in each site so they moved on. Cell Phone Coverage - Non by any company. I lost Verizon as exited I5. The Shasta Lake Recreational Company - Very helpful over the phone. They mailed me a map of the campground and called me a week out to give me the combination for the front gate lock. We will be back!

Pine Point Group Campground offers an amazing camping experience in a picturesque location. With 14 individual sites, each equipped with fire pits, bear boxes, and picnic tables, the campground strikes a perfect balance between privacy and community.   The central gathering area is a highlight, providing a space for the entire group to enjoy campfires and fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The beautiful lake view adds to the overall appeal, though direct lake access is not available from the campground. However, the lake being full during my visit provided a refreshing respite from the scorching 105-degree temperature. The cool night and morning breezes enhanced the camping experience.   The vault toilets were clean and well-maintained, with a commitment to cleanliness before and after each reservation. Two taps provided cold drinking water, perfect for hot weather. Although there is no on-site host, campers have the option to lock the campground for added privacy and security.   Cellphone coverage is limited at Pine Point, but some can be found at nearby Hirz Bay Campground. It's recommended to bring headlamps, flashlights, and other lighting options as there is no electricity at the campground.   It's important to plan ahead as there is no store nearby. Campers should bring all necessary supplies, as the nearest store is located 30 minutes away. The proximity of the Hirz Bay Boat Ramp, just 6 miles away, is convenient for personal boating activities.   Overall, Pine Point Group Campground is highly recommended for group camping trips. The well-maintained individual sites, central gathering area, lake view, clean facilities, and available amenities make for an enjoyable stay. While lake access is not directly available and cellphone coverage is limited, the natural beauty and tranquility of the campground make it a worthwhile destination. Proper preparation ensures a memorable camping experience at Pine Point Group Campground.
