Mary Smith campground is located off of County Road 105, two miles north of
the town of Lewiston. This campground offers excellent fishing and tent
camping. Mary Smith was picked as one of California's prettiest lake
campgrounds. Except for a large cluster of sites at campground entrance (sites
2-9), all campsites are walk-in and clustered in small groups. The campsites
are tucked into a lush riparian environment of conifers and deciduous trees, a
thick middlestory, and ample wildflowers. Privacy between campsites ranges
from fair to outstanding. Each site has a view of the lake and Trinity Alps.
There are 17 walk-in camp sites, with a fireplace and table. No trailers
allowed. There are both flush and vault restrooms. Glamping Tents are also
available.

Tunnel Rock campground is located seven miles from Lewiston, north on County
Road 105, and approximately 19 miles from Weaverville and offers fishing,
camping, shade and beautiful scenery. This campground is across the road from
the lake, about 250 feet from the water's edge, near a popular fishing spot.
Each site is equipped with a table and fireplace. Boat launching and rentals
can be found 1 mile south at Pinecove boat ramp and Pinecove Marina. The
marina has fishing supplies and some food items available. About 1-1/4 miles
from Fairview boat ramp, Tunnel Rock offers easy access to both Lewiston and
Trinity Lake.

<p>Tunnel Rock&nbsp;campground is located seven miles from Lewiston, north on County Road 105, and approximately 19 miles from Weaverville and&nbsp;offers fishing, camping, shade and beautiful scenery. is located in the beautiful Trinity Lake/Weaverville Area of Shasta-Trinity

are accepted May 21st through September 10th.

The area offers excellent opportunities for fishing, boating and wildlife
viewing. Lewiston Lake is 610 acres and offers good fishing for kokanee

The Tannery Gulch campground is located 12 miles north of Weaverville on
Highway 3 and is on the shore of Trinity Lake nestled among tall pines, firs
and oaks. Trout, bass and catfish can be caught along the shores of this
campground.This attractive campground has four loops (A, B, C, and D) and a
spur in a pleasant mix of conifers and deciduous trees next to Trinity Lake.
Campsites in every loop except A have a view of lake. Although there are
patches of middlestory, most campsites are close to each other making privacy
minimal.

All campsites have room for a tent, have a table and fireplace; some also have
a bear- proof food locker. It has paved roads and spurs. It has a nature
trail, cabin, three storage sheds, a garage, and a trailer pad with septic,
electric and water hookups. There is a single lane boat ramp and swim beach
within the facility and is not designed for users other than campground
customers. There is an amphitheatre that is fully developed with seating for
150 people, and rear screen projection with power and stage controls.

popular spot, offering a beach and picnic area.

This campground, located 17 miles north of Weaverville, CA, off Highway 2, is
situated on the Stuart Fork Arm of Trinity Lake. Minersville is one of the
more popular campgrounds on Trinity Lake due to its easy access to the lake
and scenic views. At 2,400 foot elevation, it is nestled in a stand of mixed
conifers and deciduous trees.  
  
Trinity Lake is one of three Forest Service-managed lakes in the Shasta-
Trinity National Recreation Area, offering excellent opportunities for
houseboating, water skiing, tubing and wakeboarding.

## Recreation

The area offers excellent opportunities for fishing, kayaking, hiking and
wildlife viewing. Directly adjacent to the campground is the Minersville Boat
Ramp. Informal mooring of boats is possible off some of the campsites.

privacy between campsites, and more primitive with a wilderness feel. There
are six walk-in campsites (four single, two double). In addition, there are
two accessible campsites 8 & 4 . Sites have picnic tables and campfire rings
with grills. Two flush toilets and one vault toilet are available. Drinking
water is provided, and bear-proof containers are available. Showers are
available at the neighboring Bushy Tail Campground.

Minersville Campground is noted for a "campground with a view." Many campsites
are located on the bank of Trinity Lake with views of the Trinity Alps, noted
for their scenic views and alpine environment.

east.

The first section of the campground is well-developed with paved, level parking aprons and amenities. The second section is mostly walk-in with good privacy between campsites, and more primitive with a wilderness feel.  
 
There are six walk-in campsites (four single, two double). In addition, there are two accessible campsites 8 & 4 . Sites have picnic tables and campfire rings with grills.  

Two flush toilets and one vault toilet are available. Drinking water is provided, and bear-proof containers are available. Showers are available at the neighboring Bushy Tail Campground.<h2>Natural Features</h2>
Minersville Campground is noted for a "campground with a view." Many campsites are located on the bank of Trinity Lake with views of the Trinity Alps, noted for their 
scenic views and alpine environment.<br/><br/> 

The Trinity Alps are situated within the Klamath Mountains, which lies between the Pacific Coast Ranges to the west and the Cascade Range farther to the east.

This campground is located 13 miles north of Weaverville on Highway 3 on the
shores of the Stuart Fork arm of Trinity Lake.

This tent-only campground hugs a shore of Trinity Lake. Cedar and Ponderosa
pine provide shade. Manzanita, Mountain Mahogany, grass along with well
separated walk-in campsites, give good privacy.  Just off State Route 3,
traffic noise can be heard throughout the campground. There are 22 walk-in
tent campsites with tables and fireplaces. Drinking water, paved road and
parking spaces. While there is a boat ramp at this campground, there is
another at Clark Springs campground (along with swim area).

## Overview

Bushytail Campground is nestled in a grove of tall Douglas firs and Ponderosa
Pines, just a short distance from Trinity Lake.  
  
This campground makes an excellent base for enjoying a variety of water
sports, sightseeing and other activities and is ideal for single families and
small groups.

## Recreation

Trinity Lake offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including
boating, water skiing, sailing, swimming and fishing. Anglers can catch
catfish, in addition to a variety of salmon, trout and bass.  
  
The Clark Springs Public Boat Ramp is less than a mile from Bushytail
Campground.  
  
Hikers may be interested in the 4-mile Trinity Lakeshore Trail, which starts
at the nearby Clark Springs Campground.

Bushytail offers single, double, triple and quad sites. All sites have grills,
bear-proof food lockers, campfire rings and picnic tables.

Located 14 miles north of Weaverville on Hwy 3. This site is located on Stoney
Creek, there is excellent swimming, hiking and beautiful scenery. This site is
adjacent to Stoney Creek Swim Area. It has a paved parking lot with parking
spaces. The group camp area and adjacent campsites accommodate up to 50
people. There are no spurs making this is a tent camping area, however the
parking area can accommodate 1-3 motor homes.. There is a flush restroom,
drinking water, group pedestal grill, fireplace, several tables and bear proof
food lockers.

Stoney Group Campground is nestled on the banks of Stoney Creek on the Stuart
Fork Arm of Trinity Lake. This group camp can accommodate up to 60 people with
tents. The sites are given some shade from tall trees, and two popular
recreation areas on Trinity Lake are located nearby.

a beach and picnic tables. A boat ramp and marina are located less than a mile
away.

STONEY GROUP SHASTA-TRINITY

Stoney Group Shasta Trinity

Located 17 miles from Weaverville, north on Hwy 3. This campground has 20
campsites with a table and a fireplace and most campsites have bear -proof
food lockers.

The campground is a single loop through cedar and other deciduous trees. There
are four secluded walk-in tent sites next to a babbling brook. The campground
accommodates mostly tent campers but has three spurs for trailers. While the
campground tends to be rugged, the adjacent boat ramp and swimming area at
Trinity Lake are attractive. Directly adjacent to the Clark Springs picnic
area, swim beach and boat ramp.

Hayward Flat is one of the most popular campgrounds on Trinity Lake, offering
excellent lake access and plenty of shade from Ponderosa pines and Douglas
firs. Located on one of the best arms of the lake for water skiing, Hayward is
favored by visitors interested in water sports.  
  
Relics from the area's Placer mining history are scattered throughout the
campground, with interpretive signs providing explanations.

## Recreation

A boat ramp and marina are located 3 miles away, but mooring may be available
at the campground. Popular activities include power and non-motorized boating,
fishing, swimming and water skiing.  
  
Anglers can fish for catfish, as well as a variety of bass, trout and salmon.

Elderberry loops provide lake views and informal mooring for boats. Every
campsite has a paved spur, table and campfire ring. Most campsites also

educational interpretive programs offered seasonally. Program dates and times
