The Feather River Ranger District manages 8 family campgrounds around Little
Grass Valley Reservoir. There are approximately 323 camping units. Campsites
in Red Feather, Running Deer, Little Beaver parts of Loop A & B and the
southern half of Wyandotte, and Horse Camp may be reserved through
www.recreation.gov (1-877-444-6777) All other campgrounds are available on a
first-come, first server basis.

Each campground has piped water. Trailer sites are available, as well as walk-

Cleghorn Bar

Deanes Valley Campground is located approximately 7 miles southwest of Quincy
along the 24N28 Road in the Meadow Valley area. It is one of the few
campgrounds on the Mt. Hough Ranger District that allows OHV trail access
directly from the campground.

There is a vault toilet, but no piped water.

There are a total of 7 campsites that operate on a "first come-first serve"
basis.  Several sites are along the creek. The campground accommodates both
tents and small trailers.

<p>Deanes Valley Campground is located approximately 7&nbsp;miles southwest&nbsp;of Quincy&nbsp;along the 24N28 Road&nbsp;in the Meadow Valley area. It&nbsp;is one of the few campgrounds on the Mt. ring.Trailers up to 22 feet can be accommodated, however no hookups are
provided. Maximum stay is 14 days.  Sly Creek Reservoir usually opens around
May 4 through October. Boat ramp open.

Located 32 miles northeast of Oroville on Oroville-Bucks Lake Road, or 17
miles west of Quincy off of Bucklin Road. Bucks Lake is a high mountain lake
surrounded by the Bucks Lake Wilderness on one side and recreation
residences/resorts on the other side.

## Overview

Whitehorse campground is located within three miles of Bucks Lake in the
northern Sierra Mountains on the Plumas National Forest. The Bucks Lake area
offers year-round recreation activities including fishing, hiking,
snowmobiling, skiing,snowshoeing and horseback riding.

## Recreation

Staying at the Whitehorse campground provides access to several activites
located in the greater Bucks Lake area. Fishing, boating, and canoeing, as
well as hiking are all activities that can be achieved by staying in this
campground. There are walking trails to the lake. A hiking trail runs from the
campground and provides access to the Bucks Lake Wilderness and the Pacific
Crest Trail. Marinas and boat docks are also within a short drive as well as
restaurants at the Lakeside Resort and Bucks Lake Lodge which will re-open
under new management in the summer for 2025, weather permitting. Limited
supplies and a deli are located at the Haskins Valley Store just a short drive
away.

concrete picnic tables and bear proof food storage lockers in most campsites.
Vault toilets, water and trash services are on site as well.

summer months. Situated at 5,500 feet in elevation, the campground is settled
along a small creek that feeds into Bucks Lake.
