This should not be a campsite. This site is horrible. It’s right on the main road. I kept driving past this site to get to town and it never rented for the 4th of July holiday which is a tell tale sign it’s subpar. The camp host was the rudest person I’ve ever met in my life. She screamed at me right when I pulled up and then proceeded to go in to her van and stare at us while we tried to set up, host is 2 spots away from the site. My dog had jumped out of my car when I arrived to say hello to my friends dog that was at the site. My dog is a service dog trained to alert me to carbon monoxide since I almost died from exposure years ago. My friends dog is a therapy dog for the elderly. The host had issue with them off leash (which I completely agree with) but my dog was literally off leash for less than 15 seconds when she flew up in her gas powered golf cart. Generators were running in the 2 sites on either side of us and I got an instant headache. I tried to walk to the river but there was huge tree blocking the path so it forced you to have to impede on camp #3’s site to get to the river. I went across the road and picked out a first come first serve site, so I payed for both but it was better than being next to them. Someone had said the host is jaded and retiring after this season. That can’t come soon enough. The other side ran out of toilet paper for 2 days during the July 4th holiday and I supplied 3 spots with TP I had with me. The wind comes down from twin lakes through the valley so everyone running their generators fills up this entire campground. This entire area is worthless.
