recreation hall, kitchen and bathhouse. The rec hall has a fireplace, tables
and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a large propane cooking range and
oven, three small propane refrigerators, three sinks, a prep and serving area,
hot water and two outdoor grills. The bathhouse has flush toilets, sinks and
hot showers.  
  
  
Fifty single beds with mattresses are provided. Guests must bring their own
linens or bedding, as well as dishes, utensils and cookware. A propane
generator is available for electricity and lights for a couple of hours in the
morning and evening. Several picnic tables and a campfire ring are located
outside.  
  
  
  
Guests are required to keep the facility clean during their stay and clean up
prior to leaving. Maid service is not available. A volunteer host is on-site.
Check-out time is by 11 a.m. and check-in time is after 2 p.m.

Mt Terrill is located on a high elevation meadow (over 9,800 feet) by a grove
of conifer trees near the top of the paved Seven Mile-Gooseberry road #640
between Salina and Fish Lake.  Wildflowers fill the meadow in July and
wildlife such as deer and elk are often seen.  Summer days are warm and nights
are quite cool.  The site can accommodate a maximum of 50 people, but there is
only one queen bed and two sets of bunk beds for a capacity of 6 people
sleeping inside the building.  No linins, bedding, or pillows are provided.

kitchen table and chairs, a wood stove, a propane range (no oven), propane

Mt. Terrill Guard Station Cabin

Mt Terrill Guard Station is located on the Fishlake National Forest in Central
Utah about 30 miles southeast of Salina. The cabin sits at near the top of the

## Recreation

Johnson Reservoir is 7 miles with Fish Lake being 15 miles south of Mt
Terrill. Fishing, food services, boat rentals, and supplies are available at
Fish Lake. North of Mt Terrill are small fishing ponds such as Gates Lake,
Salina Reservoir, Farnsworth Reservoir, and Cold Springs.

Wildflower and wildlife viewing are fun activities. OHV riding, equestrian,
biking, and hiking opportunities are available in the area. Big game hunting
for elk and deer is also a popular activity.

bedroom. The site can accommodate a maximum of 50 people, but there is only

Mt Terrill is located about 30 miles southeast of Salina Utah. From Salina
travel about 7 miles east on Interstate 70 to the Gooseberry exit #63. Go
south on the two-lane paved Gooseberry road #640 for about 22 miles to the Mt
Terrill Guard Station on the right. From Fish Lake travel 8 miles on SR25 to
Johnson reservoir, then turn left onto the paved Gooseberry road #640 for
about 7 miles to the Mt Terrill Guard Station.

Mt Terrill Guard Station is located on a high elevation meadow near a grove of
conifer trees at an elevation of 9,800 feet. Wildflowers fill the meadow in
July and wildlife such as deer and elk are often seen. Summer days are warm
and nights are quite cool.

Mt Terrill rises to an elevation of 11,547 feet and can be seen to the east of
the guard station. Lost Creek reservoir is west of the building and does not
have fish.

Due to the guard station’s high elevation, guests should be prepared for all
types of weather.

<p>The rustic Mt. Terrill Guard Station is a two room cabin with a kitchen and bedroom.  The site can accommodate a maximum of 50 people, but there is only one queen bed and two sets of bunk beds for a capacity of 6 people sleeping inside the building.  No linins, bedding, or pillows are provided.  RV’s and tents are allowed outside.    </p>
<p>The cabin is equipped with a kitchen table and chairs, a wood stove, a propane range, propane heater, countertop, couch and chair.  There is no water available on site.  Guests are encouraged to bring dishes, utensils, cooking pans, towels, water and soap.  No key or combination is required for entry. </p>
<p>A vault toilet is located adjacent to the cabin, plus a fire circle, benches, and a picnic table.  Some battery operated lighting may be available in the cabin. Bring your own battery operated lights. </p>
<p>No pets are allowed in the Guard Station. </p>

<p>No garbage service is available; pack-out all you pack-in. </p>
<p>No shooting within 150 yards of the facility.   </p>
<p>Guests are required to keep the facility clean during their stay.  Maid service is not available.  Leave the facility cleaner than you found it.   </p>
<p>Reservation ends at 11:00 AM and the facility needs to be clean and ready for the next group.  Yor reservation begins at 2:00 PM, please do not arrive early.</p>
<p>Mt Terrill is located about 30 miles southeast of Salina Utah.  From Salina travel about 7 miles east on Interstate 70 to the Gooseberry exit #63.  Go south on the two-lane paved Gooseberry road #640 for about 22 miles to the Mt Terrill Guard Station on the right.  From Fish Lake travel 8 miles on SR25 to Johnson reservoir, then turn left onto the paved Gooseberry road #640 for about 7 miles to the Mt Terrill Guard Station.</p>
<h2>Natural Features</h2>
<p>Mt Terrill Guard Station is located on a high elevation meadow near a grove of conifer trees at an elevation of 9,800 feet.  Wildflowers fill the meadow in July and wildlife such as deer and elk are often seen.  Summer days are warm and nights are quite cool.</p>

<p>Mt Terrill rises to an elevation of 11,547 feet and can be seen to the east of the guard station.  Lost Creek reservoir is west of the building and does not have fish.</p>

<p>Due to the guard station’s high elevation, guests should be prepared for all types of weather.</p>

Tasha Equestrian Campground is located in central Utah, just 4 miles north of
beautiful Fish Lake at an elevation of 9,000 feet. Visitors enjoy horseback
riding and fishing for famous Mackinaw lake trout.

## Recreation

Many miles of horseback riding, hiking, biking and off-road vehicle trails
crisscross the area. Johnson Valley Reservoir is just a half-mile from the
campground, offering boating, fishing and a boat ramp.

## Facilities

Tasha Equestrian offers a group site with a picnic shelter, as well as single-
family sites. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. Roads and spurs
are gravel, but have good access for trailers and trucks.  
  
The camp is fully equipped for campers with horses. Corrals, a staging area,
hitching racks and trailheads are located within the facility.

## Natural Features

Tasha's high mountain setting is beautiful but remote and is prone to rapid
weather changes due to its elevation. The site is forested with a mixed stand
of aspen, spruce and pines, which provides partial shade. Most sites provide
sweeping mountain and valley views.

Fish Lake, Utah's largest natural mountain lake, is less than 10 minutes from
the campground. The lake is famous for its 20-40 pound Mackinaw lake trout.
Boating, swimming and scuba diving are popular activities on the lake. Boat
ramps, rentals, a marina, fuel, groceries, restaurants and fishing and camping
supplies can all be found at Fish Lake.  
  
The Mytoge Mountain Trail, a 25-mile hiking/biking loop, offers everything
from easy cruising to challenging singletrack in the mountains around Fish
Lake.

The scenic Lakeshore National Recreation Trail extends around the eastern side
of the lake. Hikers are rewarded with stunning lake views after climbing 900
feet in elevation.

The campground contains one group site that can accommodate up to 100 people,
with picnic tables, a campfire ring and large parking area. Several single-
family sites are available as well. Flush toilets and drinking water are
provided. Roads and parking spurs are paved.  
  
Three resorts are located in the Fish Lake Basin, offering camping and fishing
supplies, RV parks with hookups, cabin and boat rentals, marinas, gas,
restaurants, groceries, laundry facilities and showers. The resorts are open
from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

offers views of the north end of Fish Lake Basin. Aspen trees forest the site,

This is a first come first serve campground. Sites cannot be reserved on
Rec.gov. However thus far campground has never been full.

9,300 feet. Most dispersed camp sites are found near aspen and conifer trees
for shade.  There is a vault restroom near the reservoir north of Forest Road
080.  Big Lake can be a great fishing opportunity, plus there is wildlife
viewing, hiking, hunting, and OHV riding on designated routes.  Please pack-
out what you pack-in.  Camping stay limit is 16 days.

elevation so come prepared for cool temperatures and mountain conditions.
