Directions

Zion National Park's South Entrance and administrative offices are located near Springdale, Utah. This area, called Zion Canyon, is where most campsites and popular hikes are located. Zion Canyon can also be accessed through the park's East Entrance, which is west of Mt. Carmel Junction, Utah. Once inside the park, Zion Canyon can be explored via the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. For most of the year, the scenic drive is only open to shuttle busses. Board shuttles at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center.

Reviews

Zion National Park's Watchman Campground continues to impress with its clean, well-maintained facilities and spectacular views. The location remains highly convenient, offering proximity to shuttle stops, nearby amenities like grocery stores and hiking shops, and access to popular trails. While some sites are spacious, a few spots, particularly in the B018 section, are notably small and cramped. The park's heat during summer months remains a key consideration for campers. On-site showers remain unavailable, though pay showers outside the gate are within walking distance, and lack of shade due to few trees is a recurring concern. The campground is quiet overall, though night winds can be strong, and noise from campers and shuttle buses is still noted.

The campground was clean and well kept, the welcoming volenteers were wonderful and extremly helpful, and the park itself is beautful with very functional infastructure that helped manage the crazy crowds. One thing I would reccomend is bringing weights if your using a tent as while we could get stakes in, the wind was insane and just about blew it away. Also, BRING A HIKING STICK AND WATER SHOES! Renting them costs 35, but all you need is a stick and some decent shoes with ankle support to successfully walk the narrows pretty far up. Overall fantastic place, I will be camping here again!

Great, very clean campground. Check your tent size vs the campsite size though because you may not fit in the available space in some of them. Beautiful views from your camp chair though.

Well-located campground at the river with good facilities. Too bad that Zion National Park is meanwhile so busy.
