From Sonora, take Highway 108 east for 30 miles, take the Pinecrest exit onto Pinecrest Lake Road and continue to the campground.

The bathroom toilets were frequently clogged and some bathroom sinks were not working. Also, campsite rules not enforced. Other sites had 4-6 tents and had well over 6 people. Noise was a problem.

I was happy that Meadowview has started taking reservations. Our site #409 was shady and large, but the bear box was filthy and we needed to clean it before using. Be aware that yellowjackets are out in force and will swarm you at every meal. The bathrooms are in a state of disrepair with toilets that barely flush and only one working sink. Staff did a poor job of cleaning it.
The highlight was discovering that the Pinecrest Community Lodge, just across from the 400 loop, has clean bathrooms and you can buy a hot shower there for $10.
Cell service for T-mobile is non-existent, but Verizon had weak signal. The General store at Pinecrest is well-stocked with camping essentials.

Very busy campground but nice large campsites. Some large groups of people, most of whom were quiet after 10pm, but not all. Our campsites were near the road which had traffic early morning. Great hike around Pinecrest lake and good to get away from all the crowds at the main access area to the beach/lake. The drive through Sonora Pass is spectacular and well worth it. Beautiful hike from Kennedy Meadow Resort.

We moved from meadow view to pine crest to be closer to the lake. The campground is very nice. However, restrooms need a serious renovation.

The campground was wonderful with large sites and fairly calm even on a weekend. Unfortunately our site was left with other people’s trash which we picked up. The bathrooms are extremely dated and old. They do try to keep them clean but they seriously need updating. They were kind of creepy going into even during the day as the lighting was horrible. Otherwise a very nice campground with friendly people. The lake is in walking distance or an easy bike ride. There is a store close by. Ignore the bathrooms and all is good!
