Campsite was nice. Loop B didn't have food lockers as advertised. With the water so low, access was rough, rocky terrain.

Not all campsites are ♿️ assessible as it shows when choosing a site. A few have steps as ours did, A11. Not all sites have Bear Boxes, so we had to keep our food in our car. No camp hosts as posted there was. Some campers were loud way past quiet time. One night was ‘til 3am. Also, very rocky, red clay surface down to access to the water where a water snake eventually came to check out our little grandchildren. NO showers if tent camping for a few days.
Finally, we drove to another area of the lake to rent a pontoon boat for the day. Very enjoyable.

The Alpine View campground is a well-kept group of camping sites with large parking slots, wood tables, fire pits, and nearby running water. Lots of trees for shade during the summer heat. During my stay, my neighbors were relatively quiet, with any family party ending by midnight.
The bathroom in Loop A was kept clean, but there is no lighting so bring a flash light or lantern. Loop A did no have any bear boxes, so keep your food within your vehicle (at 3:20 AM the first night, a raccoon was dragging an ice chest down the road). There are also no garbage cans, so you have to pack out what you bring in.
The Bowerman Boat Launch ramp is only 1/4 mile away, with trailer parking at the top. There is a dock, a suitable turnaround for launching, and the ramp fee of $14 is reasonable.

Such a great layout at Alpine view, bathroom's where kept clean and stocked. Everyone camping was very respectful and kept noise down after about 9:30. Weaverville is only a little over half an hour away and such an interesting town to visit and the store owner at Trinity center was super nice and funny.

Great campground! Every site was used but it was the most quiet campground I've been to.

Great campsite that was nearly empty over Father's Day weekend. Another reviewer was right, not all sites have bear bins for storage. Ours (#8) did, and halfway through the trip a wasp tried to make a nest in it. There were definitely quite a few of them around, especially when food came out. Otherwise overall impressed with the site, especially having booked only a few weeks ahead of time.
