Gooding/Camas County Line

In Idaho, BLM manages nearly 6,000 acres of public lands in the Little City of
Rock Wilderness Study Area. The Mount Bennett Hills are a belt of rolling
foothills between the Sawtooth Mountains to the north and the Snake River
Plain to the south. Most of the WSA is gently sloping plain with several
rhyolite bluffs. Elk, deer, coyote, birds of prey and upland game can be found
here.

Wilderness Study Area. Located at the southern toe of the Lemhi Mountain
Range, this landscape is characterized by rocky canyons massive cliffs and
faults. The lower slopes and canyon bottoms contain sagebrush forbs and
grasses typical of this low moisture high desert environment. Patches of
juniper trees are found throughout the area and small stands of Douglas-fir
grow at the higher elevations. Primitive recreation opportunities for hiking,
camping and nature study can be found here. Other recreation opportunities can
be found at the nearby Gooding City of Rocks WSA.

WSA. Recommended time to visit this area is spring and fall to avoid extreme

paintbrush and lupine. Elk, deer, bear, coyotes, birds of prey and upland game
birds can be seen here. Visitors here can enjoy hiking, nature study,
photography and hunting.
