Reviews

Raystown Lake campground offers scenic waterfront locations with enjoyable fishing and family activities. While some visitors find the reservation process easier and appreciate the helpful staff, concerns remain about limited and unevenly maintained facilities, challenging campsite setups, and spotty cell service. The roads and tree branches around sites may impact larger vehicles. Overall, it is favored for its peaceful atmosphere and recreational opportunities despite some infrastructure and accessibility issues.

While the location is outstanding - the bathrooms are atrocious, they couldnt be used. Nearest showers are at least 20 minutes drive away. Car space states back in when booking but in fact there is a parking lot and steep descent to get to the campsite. So all of the items must be carried down. Very dangerous when its wet outside, especially in the mornings - both me and my husband slipped at least once. We were super lucky that noone else booked on the same parking lot and area we did, but if you are booking space #61, 62, 63 or 64 - be aware that there may be another tent literally right next to yours as campsites located literally table to table.

Great campground! Everything was perfect, and the restrooms and showers were very clean. We already booked another trip for September! 😊
