Sky campground was beautiful. The night my friend and I were there, it was completely covered in fog to the extent that we couldn't see much past 30 feet ahead of us. One slight drawback of the site is that you can hear people at the neighboring sites pretty clearly, so we felt like we had to whisper once the family next to us went to bed. The hike in is pretty short which is nice for a chill backpacking trip.

Beautiful campground. There were stinging nettles on the path between the picnic table and tent area. Tent area has a slope to it. One of the restroom doors wouldn’t close.

Sky Camp Site 12 is underneath a tree. As a result, it rained at the campsite and it was wetter than all other campsites at Sky Camp. I suggest not staying there. If you do stay there, be prepared to deal with the rain.

Stayed at camp 2 - could slightly see the ocean from the site. Tough to find a completely flat spot but still a great nights sleep with the sound of the ocean. Saw lots of wildlife: seagulls, starfish, elk, bunnies.

We had an excellent experience backpacking and camping at Point Reyes! This was my first time taking my wife and kids with me, and it couldn’t have gone better. The trail was clean and well maintained, with beautiful scenery along the way. Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces available. Our campsite was spacious enough for our group and had two picnic tables and two food-storage lockers. The location was amazing—close to the beach, with beautiful views, caves, and a waterfall nearby. It was a great family adventure and an unforgettable first backpacking trip with my kids. Highly recommend it! We’ll definitely be back.
