Paiute Trail

Utah State Parks: Resting on cliffs of the Sevier Plateau at an elevation of
5,900 feet, Piute Reservoir attracts anglers who enjoy trophy fishing for
rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout as well as smallmouth bass. This primitive
park is a quiet getaway and a well-kept secret. It is nestled in the heart of
ATV country and the expansive Paiute Trail System can be accessed from the
park. Piute is also a great lake for water sports, including waterskiing,
jetskiing and wakeboarding. The park offers camping and picnicking on the
beach. There are no reservations or culinary water available at Piute. Camping
is primitive and first come, first served.

Mountains, Utah's third-highest mountain range. A scenic backway, open during
the summer, climbs up to Eagle Point Resort

premier trout fisheries, boaters and anglers travel to Otter Creek to fish for
rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, brown trout, and smallmouth bass. The boat
launch offers accessibility to deeper waters in search of the big lunkers
living here. ATV riding is also a major attraction here; little else in the
world of motorized recreation is as joyful as romping around on an ATV on
pristine trails, including the renowned Paiute ATV Trail, accessible from this
park.

Great as a day trip in and of itself, Otter Creek is especially enjoyable as a
nice weekend getaway for campers and RVers. The pleasant campground offers
simple, yet modern amenities (bathroom, showers, etc.) and you will marvel at
how quiet and remote this destination is. Make a reservation on the Utah State
Parks reservation site.
