Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve

Good location if you're visiting the Oregon Caves. There's a 2.5 mile hiking trail from the campsites to the Oregon Caves Visitor Center. There is one spigot with portable water, clean camp sites, nice little creek that runs behind the camp sites, and clean but smelly pit toilets. Most campsites are in the shade and cool on hot days.

We had a great two-night stay. The campground was clean, quiet, and very well maintained, and our campsite included a convenient bear-proof food storage unit. The camp host was friendly and helpful, and we appreciated having WiFi available near the host site when we needed to connect. Add in warm, comfortable weather and a beautiful setting near Oregon Caves, and it was everything we could have hoped for. We'd happily stay here again.

The campground is beautiful and quiet. The only available water is a bit far from some sites, but overall still not too bad.

So this is my second time I’m staying in this location and this section section 13 and for me as the best because it’s having a little section where you can go down to the creek and it’s perfect for me for my kids to enjoy the water course the water is very cold, but there’s very nice when it’s very hot. I recommend this part because it’s perfect and it’s nice. They only problem when I went that day in August 5 to 8 we are not able to do fire pit because the fire restrictions but still we were able to have a good time with me and my family so I recommended this place to any person who like to go for camping. It’s nice and quiet section so I recommend this.

This was by far the best campground I have ever been to in Oregon. I will be back soon with the rest of the family.

Campsite was very nice & well-tended, the staff member that we met was incredibly nice & enjoyed his work. The campsite was ideal for our plan to visit the OR Caves Natl Monument site just up the road only a few miles, super convenient. The dry toilets were what you'd expect of course, but there was plenty of toilet paper. One thing to consider when searching for the turnoff: there's a large woodcut sign for the monument site just off to the right of the road with a woodcut sculpture thing, with another metal sign that says something like "no campsites beyond this point." That's what's right in front of you, and all you can see from the myopic view through your headlights if you arrive at night. (we did) This is a little concerning. But if you look to the FAR right of that big woodcut sign, (with the help of a flashlight) you'll see another woodcut sign for the campsite-proper which is down that side road. That campsite sign is a darker stain-on-stain woodcut which is under a tree & pretty hard to see/read despite being almost as big as the main sign. After that you'll be fine. We'll definitely use this site in future visits. (nice little Jamaican food restaurant in town, too)
