Reviews

Millwood Lake campgrounds are well-regarded for their clean, well-maintained facilities, friendly and helpful hosts, and peaceful, scenic environment with beautiful lake views. Visitors enjoy spacious, shaded campsites suitable for RVs, good fishing and wildlife observation opportunities, including the unique experience of alligator sightings. Some challenges include occasional insect issues like mosquitoes and wasps, inconsistencies in bathroom cleanliness, nearby road and logging truck noise, limited cell service in certain areas, and reservation policies requiring multi-day bookings. Swimming is generally not recommended due to alligator presence.

Workers are very friendly, but think the park is understaffed. The bathrooms needed attention, and the campsites where needing attention. Firepits ashes from many fires, and trash in sites. I think this park could use more support. We were only 1 of 3 campers there, so it was not busy. If your goal is to see alligators, this is a park for you. Do not recommend swimming as we saw atleast 5 gators.

I enjoyed the campground very much. It was kept clean with only 2 other campers there it was so nice but it was getting hot in July. The bath house was hot but what do you think it was July. I will be going back in the fall.
Popularity: Very quiet

Busiest in August, when about 3% of guest capacity is reserved. Based on 10 years of reservations.
