**As of Thursday, October 8, 2020, Lake Creek Falls recreation site is OPEN.**
The popular site is located near Triangle lake west of Junction City within
the BLM's Siuslaw Field Office.

## Overview:

The natural bedrock slide at Lake Creek Falls is very popular and ideal for a
hot summer day! A series of low cascades carved in the bedrock within a narrow
gorge create this geological wonder that spills into Triangle Lake. This is a
place that you'll want to spend the day, so be sure to take a daypack with
snacks, water, and a towel. From the parking lot, take care as your cross the
road and head down the - mile trail to the slide and swimming area. The trail
can be wet, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes.

## Know Before You Go:

  * Open Year-round. 
  * No alcohol.
  * Pets must be leashed (max. 6 feet)
  * No restrooms and trash bins are at the swimming and slide area.
  * Slide and swimming are about a half mile from the parking area.

water skiing, is just 12 miles from downtown Eugene. Six park sites and
several remote access points around the lake offer a variety of day use
recreation opportunities such as picnicking, swimming, fishing, hunting and
wildlife viewing. A private concession on the peninsula at the south end of
the lake has overnight camping sites. The Fern Ridge Dam was completed in 1941

getaway in the forest. Located on Mt. Hebo, this small, family campground has
12 campsites, a historic picnic shelter, a three-acre lake, and access to

picnic shelter can also be reserved for day-use activities, for groups of up
to 25 people.

Hebo Lake is cashless so please pay before you arrive as service is limited at
the campground. You can either download the recreation.gov app on your phone
to pay for day-use and camping fees or go online on your computer or tablet to
recreation.gov and pay there. Please go to Siuslaw National Forest on rec.gov
and look for day use or if you are camping please pick your site and length of

pelicans and other shorebirds, sea lions and migrating whales.

The Cape Perpetua Visitor Center is a few miles north. The center has a
phenomenal view of the ocean. A variety of short film are shown in the
theater, and whale watch volunteers are posted in March to help visitors spot
the beautiful, migrating creatures.
