**Navigating the Byway:**
**Driving the Byway**
* Approximately 20 miles west of Lexington, the Highlands Scenic Byway is accessible from I-64 at exit 43. Head south on Forest Road 447 to begin your tour of the byway.
* Follow Forest Road 447 until you reach State Highway 654. Continue along State Highway 654 until you reach Collierstown Road.
* Continue driving on Colliertown Road until you reach North Mountain Road. Turn right onto North Mountain Road, which will take you underneath I-64.
* Drive northeast on North Mountain Road until you return to Forest Road 447.
