## Overview

Anna Creek Cabin is located 30 miles south of the town of Hungry Horse,
perched above Hungry Horse Reservoir with sweeping views of the reservoir and
the Great Bear Wilderness. **Winter - Access road not maintained/plowed for
wheeled-vehicle travel. Plan on winter access via a 24-mile snowmobile ride or
other over-the-snow vehicle on an ungroomed route**. The cabin provides a
private setting to enjoy the recreation opportunities along the west side of
Hungry Horse Reservoir.

## Recreation

**Summer** \- The cabin location provides a base to explore the numerous
recreation opportunities along the west side of Hungry Horse Reservoir.
Visitors can access the water within a short drive to Graves Bay, Graves Creek
or Handkerchief Lake for fishing, swimming or boating. Access to hiking trails
along pioneer ridge or the east side of Jewel Basin are in close proximity to
the cabin. Other popular activities such as driving for pleasure, berry
picking, wildlife watching, and fishing are abundant in the area around the
cabin.

oppurtunities in the Swan Mountain Range. Please familarize yourself with the
free winter over-the-snow maps available online, at the Hungry Horse Ranger
Station, and at the cabin.

This single story cabin is equipped with a propane cook stove/oven, 2 propane
heaters, propane lights and accessible vault toilet. Indoor accommodations
sleep up to 12 people on one double bed, two twin beds, two double/twin bunk
beds, plus two twin roll out trundle beds. Outside, enjoy the campfire pit
with barbecue grate and the deck on the south side of the cabin.  
  
  
  
No drinking water or electricity are available. Guests should bring plenty of
water, bedding, food, flashlights, basic camping gear, tools to gather outdoor
firewood, among other necessities.

There is not a wood stove available at the cabin.

privacy and scenic views. The west side of the cabin and large parking area
backs up to the forest with Anna creek flowing through. The east side of the

Ben Rover Cabin is located 35 miles north of Columbia Falls, perched near the
Wild and Scenic Flathead River. The rustic accommodations provide a delightful
setting for photographing scenery, viewing wildlife and enjoying the peaceful
sounds of nature. The cabin also provides access to a variety of activities,
including hiking, fishing and boating the river.  
  
  
  
The cabin is generally accessible by vehicle, however, in winter, four-wheel
drive vehicles with chains are strongly recommended. Guests are responsible
for their own travel arrangements and safety, and must bring several of their
own amenities. The majority of the road from Columbia Falls to Ben Rover Cabin
is gravel, so be prepared for dust during your drive and at the cabin.

## Recreation

Visitors to the cabin can enjoy fishing, canoeing and kayaking on the river.
Floating from Polebridge to Glacier Rim is easy, as the section contains
mostly Class I to II rapids.  
  
Cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are popular activities
enjoyed by winter visitors. Various designated snowmobile routes and flat
areas are available nearby. Trails are available to hiking in good weather.

Big Creek Campground lies in the expansive Flathead National Forest in
northwestern Montana, 2 miles south of the Northwest entrance to Glacier
National Park. Visitors can enjoy access to the Flathead River as well as the
countless other recreational opportunities provided by the surrounding
forests.

Big Creek Campground has 22 campsites, 12 of which are reservable and 10 are
walk-up, first come, first serve sites.

The stay limit is 16 consecutive nights.

## Recreation

Visitors enjoy the ample fishing and floating opportunities provided by the
river. Trout are a popular catch amid the calm flow of the water. Boating is
also an excellent pastime, as the river is perfect for floating, rafting and
canoeing.  
  
Across from the campground is the Glacier Institute's Big Creek Outdoor
Education Center, which provides learning opportunities for visitors of all
ages. Programs offered include seminars and guided hikes, which point out the
diverse natural and cultural resources of the Glacier National Park and the
Crown of the Continent Ecosystem.

The campground offers several accessible individual campsites for tent and RV
camping. Each has convenient access to the river and is equipped with tables
and campfire rings with grills.  
  
A group camping area is nestled in the middle of the campground and can
accommodate up to 200 guests. Campfire circles and group picnic areas are also
available.

Accessible vault toilets and drinking water are provided. The water is in 2
locations and are hand pumps. They are not for filling your RV so please come
with your water full.

and Scenic North Fork of the Flathead River. It is about 45 miles north of
Columbia Falls, in northwestern Montana. Visitors enjoy a variety of
recreational activities, including fishing, viewing wildlife and exploring the
area's many trails. The cabin is available from May 22 to March 31. It can be
access by vehicle, however four-wheel drive and chains are recommended during
the winter. Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and
safety, and must bring several of their own amenities. The majority of the
road from Columbia Falls to Ford Cabin is gravel, so be prepared for dust
during your drive and at the cabin.

## Recreation

Rainbow and cutthroat trout fishing is pleasant. In fact, the Flathead River
is renowned for its excellent fly fishing. Visitors can hike and mountain bike
on various trails and roads, or float in the river from the Canadian border to
Polebridge on Class I to II rapids.

## Facilities

The rustic log cabin has a small, covered front porch and a vault toilet
nearby. It is equipped with a propane stove, lights, a heater and limited
cooking and eating utensils. Furnishings include two bunk beds and one double
bed, to accommodate up to six people.  
  
Water from a hand-pump system, is only available from April to November. In
winter, visitors must bring their own water. Other items to bring include
food, bedding, flashlights, a first aid kit and other basic camping gear.

The Holland Lake Campground and Group Site are located on the shores of
Holland Lake in the Swan Valley of northwest Montana. Holland Lake Campground
is a great place to enjoy the Flathead National Forest. It offers clean
campsites with great lake access and ample opportunities for hiking on the
scenic Holland Falls National Recreation Trail. Holland Lake Campground has 38
rentable sites, 24 of which are reservable and 14 for walk-up visitors. The
stay limit is 16 consecutive days in the regular camp sites and 10 days in the
group site.

The trailhead for the popular and easy Holland Falls National Recreation Trail
is near the campground. The 1.6-mile trail climbs 750 feet, following the
shoreline of Holland Lake to the base of Holland Falls waterfall. Holland Lake
provides visitors with plenty of access to water-related recreation. Boating
is popular on the lake, as well as water skiing and fishing. Anglers can look
forward to catching a variety of trout and Kokanee salmon. Paddleboards,
Kayaks and Canoes are available for rent for $10/hr., $25/4 hrs. or $40/8hrs.

full nightly rate. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days
prior to check-in. The Recreation.gov site will send the guest up to two
reminder emails with links to facilitate payment. Those emails are sent seven
days and 24 hours before the 30 day deadline. Down payments are non-
refundable.

If you do not complete the payment by the 30 day deadline, your reservation
will be cancelled and the down payment forfeited.

space for two guests and the second story is a small loft used solely for full
views of the region. The lookout's rustic accommodations include a propane
cook stove, propane lantern, two cots, a small wood stove for heat. A pit
toilet is provided outside the lookout. Pets are allowed, but cleaning up
after them is required.  
  
No water is available. Guests should pack their own bedding, water, first aid

## Overview

Mission Lookout towers above the forest canopy, providing guests with
unrivaled 360-degree views of the beautiful Swan Range, Mission Mountains and
Swan Lake. The site served for 75 years as a fire detection tower, and the
current lookout has been around since its construction in 1959.  
  
The tower can be accessed by vehicle. A parking area is adjacent to the
facility. Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety,
and must bring several of their own amenities. Will sleep up to 4 people. Dogs
are NOT ALLOWED in the Lookout.

Along with the spectacular scenery, the immediate area offers visitors an
unlimited array of outdoor activities ranging from fishing and swimming at the
nearby Swan Lake, to watching migratory waterfowl at the wildlife viewing
area.  
  
Hunting is also popular not far from the lookout. Shooting within 150 yards of
the Lookout or from/across roads is prohibited.  
  
A variety of hiking and mountain biking trails can be found in the area.

in double bed and two folding cots, to accommodate up to four adults. The

No water or electricity is available. Guests should bring plenty of water,
bedding, food, firewood, toiletries and a non-open flame light source, such as

## Overview

Ninko Cabin is located 45 miles north of Columbia Falls, in northwestern
Montana. It is an ideal rental for winter sports enthusiasts. Open only during
cold months, the cabin provides a rustic, cozy setting with a good chance for
pristine snow-capped scenery. It also provides access to a variety of
recreational activities.  
  
The cabin can be accessed via a 12-mile hike, snowshoe, ski or snowmobile trek
from North Fork Road. Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements
and safety, and must bring several of their own amenities.

## Recreation

Cross country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing are popular activities
enjoyed by visitors to the area. Reaching the cabin on the 12-mile journey is
part of the snow-sport fun to be had when visiting the cabin.

## Facilities

The rustic cabin sleeps six with two bunk beds and two single beds. Amenities
include a propane cook stove, lights, wood stove for heating, and a vault
toilet. Pets are allowed, but cleaning up after them is required.  
  
No water is available. Renters should pack their own bedding, drinking water,

Guests will need to clean the cabin, carry out all trash and replenish cut
firewood supply prior to departure.

Although you are allowed two motorized vehicles per site, the first vehicle is
included in the site fee; the second vehicle is charged $5.00/day upon arrival
at the campground.

2026 begins Riverside Campground as 1 large group site. Pay one price of $150
per night and the whole space is yours. You can fit 2 campers on sites 1 and 3
and a single unit on site 2 allowing for up to 40 people. No extra vehicle
fees at this campground as your paying group site fees. Group sites have a
stay limit of 10 days.
