**Getting to the Byway:** _Carson City, NV_ * Get on US-395 south. * Turn right at NV-88. * Enter California via NV-88. * Turn left on NV-89. * The byway begins in the city of Markleeville. _Sacramento, CA_ * Get on CA-99 south towards Stockton. * Stay on CA-99 until you reach CA-12/CA-88. * Follow CA-12 and stay straight and continue on CA-49 south. * At Angels City turn left and get on CA-4. * The byway begins on CA-4 in the city of Arnold. **Navigating the Byway:** * Begin in Arnold, CA on SR 4. * Travel northeast to the end of SR 4 at the junction of SR 89 in Alpine County. * Continue north on SR 89. * End at the town of Markleeville.
