Crossroads OHV Area

Located within the Parker Strip Recreation Area, the Crossroads Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Area is a 1,500-acre playground of desert sand washes, small trees, shrubs and some short rocky climbs offering scenic river views. 

The site includes a developed staging area with asphalt parking, an unloading ramp, and a pair of vault toilets.  One picnic table and grill are available. There are no shade structures or potable water on site, so visitors should plan accordingly and bring sufficient supplies.  

Crossroads OHV Area accommodates a wide range of OHVs, including dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs, dune buggies, and similar vehicles. Riders are encouraged to operate at safe speeds, especially in unfamiliar terrain, and remain alert for other users. Helmets and appropriate protective gear are strongly recommended, as even low-speed or short rides can result in serious injury. 

Vehicles must be street legal or have state-required off-highway vehicle stickers.  

A variety of food, lodging, fuel and other visitor services are available along Parker Dam Road. Nearby public recreation opportunities include BLM’s Crossroads Campground and Copper Basin Dunes OHV Area, as well as several developed day-use sites; Cable Car Day Use Area, Quail Hollow Day Use Area, Bullfrog Day Use Area, and the Rock House Visitor Center.
