some of the most expansive and striking views in the area. The views of
Colorado River basin, including Castle Rock, Castle Valley and the Bookcliffs
to the north, are stunning. Individual sites are available on a first-come,
first-serve basis. This area features a National Scenic Trail which winds for
2.2 miles around the base of Fisher Towers and climbs up to nearly 360 degree
views. Nighttime brings excellent star grazing viewing opportunities.The

The WSA is contiguous with a recent addition to Arches National Park. The WSA
surrounds deep canyons which are bordered by colorful Summerville, Entrada and
Navajo sandstone canyon walls. Desert shrub-sagebrush vegetation covers most
of the WSA with the rest being juniper woodland.

Lost Spring Canyon

Start your Moab adventure at the Big Bend Recreation Site. Located along the
Colorado River, visitors enjoy a sandy beach, boat launch, river viewing
areas, picnic tables, campsites, and group campsites. Adventurers also enjoy
rafting the Moab Daily, a beautiful section of the river that includes several
smaller rapids sections - perfect for all watercraft types.

Within close proximity to national parks and countless trails, outdoor
enthusiasts will enjoy hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and four-
wheel drive tours in the surrounding area. The town of Moab is approximately
30 minutes away and has dining, shopping, sports rentals, tour companies and
museums.

Campsites tucked along the "Big Bend" in the Colorado River Canyon. Individual
sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Three group sites are
reservable through Recreation.gov. The campsites can accommodate tents,
trailers and large RVs. many of the sites are located next to the Colorado
River and are surrounded by imposing cliffs. Big Bend has a sandy beach, a
river viewing area and accessible facilities. (Do not enter the river without
the required life jackets; it has dangerous under currents.).

#### Group Campsites:

The recreation site includes three group campsites that can accommodate tents,
trailers, and large RVs. Sites A and B are beside the Colorado River. Site C
is across Highway 128 in a side canyon, allowing for privacy and is ideal for
small family gatherings or weddings. Each site includes fire grates, picnic
tables, vault toilets, and shade shelters. The sites do not include potable
water, dump stations, or electric hook ups. All three sites have spectacular
canyon views. Reserve your site through Recreation.gov.

National Park, Hovenweep National Monument and Natural Bridges National

Grandstaff Canyon includes a perennial stream within a canyon bordered by
sheer walls of Navajo sandstone. Morning Glory Natural Bridge, located just
outside of the WSA on State Land, is the main destination for hikers. A ribbon
of riparian vegetation follows the stream within the canyon. Above the canyon,
there is a sparse covering of pinyon-juniper vegetation and large expanses of
barren Navajo sandstone domes and fins.

Grandstaff Canyon

The Utah section of the Dolores River offers technical rapids, stunning
scenery, wildlife viewing, side-canyon hiking, and camping. Permits are
required year-round for all private, non-commercial use of the Lower Dolores.
There is no limit on the number of permits issued. Permits will become
available beginning January 1st each year through Recreation.gov. The permit
authorizes a group size of 1 to 25 to float the stretch of the Lower Dolores
River.

The Lower Dolores has a very short, erratic (and often non-existent) boating
season. Flows typically peak between late April and early May. Suggested
minimum flows are 200 CFS for canoes, pack rafts, kayaks, and inflatable
Kayaks; 800 CFS for rafts under 14 feet; and 1,000 CFS for rafts larger than
14 feet.

Rapids on this section range from class I to class IV, and the most
challenging rapid is near the Utah and Colorado stateline. The "Stateline
Rapid" is a mile-long rock garden and requires excellent scouting (from river
right) and quick maneuvering at all water levels. Mistakes in this rapid can
result in a very long and dangerous swim. Many groups choose to put in below
this rapid. A map is available at

adequate amount of drinking water as the Dolores and its tributaries are unfit
for human consumption. Land ownership along the Dolores River is mixed, please
respect the rights of private landowners.

contact the Tres Rios Field Office. Private trips do not require a permit for
boating the Dolores River through Colorado. More information on stream flows
can be found on the Dolores Water Conservancy District website.

Devils Garden Campground is located deep within the heart of beautiful Arches
National Park in Southeastern Utah, at an elevation of approximately 5200 ft..
The campground is situated among natural sandstone arches and fins and is only
18 miles north of the park's entrance and 23 miles from Moab, Utah.

## Recreation

Hiking trails are abundant in Arches, including the Broken Arch Trail, a
scenic loop with a trailhead conveniently located within the campground.
Trails are varied and offer something for everyone, from the easy 0.3-mile
loop around Balanced Rock to the steep and strenuous 3-mile round-trip trail
to Delicate Arch. Other recreational activities in the park include guided
hiking tours of the Fiery Furnace, an off-road vehicle route, road biking and
picnicking.

## Facilities

Devils Garden contains 51 campsites that are available for reservation
(Including the two group sites and one accessibility site), offering visitors
a great opportunity to stay overnight in a unique national park. Roads and
parking spurs are paved, allowing smooth access for all types of travelers. A
campground host is located on-site. Flush toilets and drinking water are
provided, and campsites contain picnic tables and fire rings. The park does
not have dump stations, or electric, water, or sewer hook-ups for RVs. There
are also no showers. Firewood is not for sale at the campground. Please buy a
coupon for firewood at the Visitor Center.

Flowering prickly pear cacti, yucca and other desert wildflowers dot the
landscape, offering vivid color to the surrounding red rock desert.

spires, fins and balanced rocks complement the arches, creating a remarkable
assortment of landforms in a relatively small area. The park is within an
arid, high desert environment with hot summers and cold winters.
