_Duluth, MN_
* Take US-53 southeast to Amnicon Falls, WI.
* Get on US-2 and go east to Wakefield, MI.
* Take MI-28 east to Bruce Crossing.
* Get on US-45 and go north to MI-26.
* Follow MI-26 northeast to US-41 in Houghton where the byway begins.
_Green Bay, WI_
* Take US-141 north through Covington, MI.
* Continue on US-41 to Houghton where the byway begins.
**Navigating the Byway:**
###From Portage Lake Lift Bridge to Fort Wilkins * The Copper Country Trail
begins at the Portage Lake Lift Bridge, the only road access to the Keweenaw
Peninsula. * From the bridge, travel north on US-41 along the Keweenaw
Peninsula approximately 47 miles to Copper Harbor, the site of restored Fort
Wilkins.
