Reviews

The Cedar City Field Office campground is generally praised for its clean, quiet, and well-maintained environment with great access to mountain biking and hiking trails. Visitors appreciate the peaceful setting, spacious sites, and proximity to town, along with beautiful natural views and starry skies. However, the campground has limited amenities, lacking water and power hookups, and only providing pit toilets. Some challenges include sloped or narrow sites difficult for larger RVs, noise disturbances, reservation process frustrations, and occasional pest and maintenance issues.

Well Maintained site when we were there. Would be nice to have more amenities but what was there were great. Very cool mountain bike trails right at the campsite.

The campground and Group Site 1 are great. It's beautiful, close enough to town for convenience, and not as busy as other campgrounds we've stayed at, so it was very quiet. The site itself is very spacious and while the trees don't provide shade all hours of the day, there are enough. I probably would've given 4-5 stars, if not for the unholy number of flies we encountered. It's probably because the site is right next to the dumpster for the campground and close to the vault toilet. Whatever it is, something needs to be done. Within seconds of getting food out, there were dozens of flies that would swarm our food and not leave. We could not eat in the open and had to go into our tent to eat. We even ran to Walmart for fly traps and caught hundreds, but it made no noticeable difference. We did talk to other campers who were farther away from the bathroom and dumpster and heard that they had no issues. It really is a lovely place and we'll definitely return to one of the different sites, or if we knew that the fly situation was addressed.

Sites are not very level, prepare to use leveling blocks for RVs. The gravel road to the campground is a little rough and long. Great weather and nice tables though. Good privacy.

Beautiful, peaceful, and clean. Excellent mountain biking 30 seconds away. The driveway is sloped about 4 degrees away from the site, but was able to level my small trailer no problem.

Very clean, quiet and secluded. We drove all the way from Michigan. I stayed here because I wanted to hike at Mt Zion. It was close to everything we came to do. We got to go to Vegas for a night too. Highly recommend!! Thank you
Popularity: Very quiet

Busiest in August, when about 10% of guest capacity is reserved. Based on 3 years of reservations.
