​Franconia Brook Tentsite is located on the Eastside trail, on the East side
of the Pemigewasset River, 3 miles in from the Lincoln Woods trailhead. There
are approximately 20 tentsites available for overnight use. The tentsites are
first come, first served, include a fire ring and are designated by a numbered
stake. There are two pit toilets and water is available at the nearby East
Branch. A bear box is available. When possible, please use the bear box
instead of hanging food.  Please note: the bear box does become full quickly,
so plan accordingly and bring rope as a precaution. Remove all food and trash

​This tentside, built and maintained by the Appalachain Mountain Club, is
situated on Mt. Liberty off the Liberty Spring Trail (Appalachian Trail) 0.3
miles below the junction with the Franconia Ridge Trail. There are seven
single and three double tentpads. A composting privy and dishwashing station
are provided. The water source is an excellent spring. Seasonal caretaker.

Liberty off the&nbsp;Liberty Spring Trail (Appalachian Trail)&nbsp;0.3 miles below the junction with the Franconia Ridge Trail. There are seven single&nbsp;and three double tentpads. A composting privy and dishwashing station&nbsp;are&nbsp;provided. The water source is an excellent spring. Seasonal caretaker.</p>

Fee is $15 per person per night and is collected year-round. Utilize self-
service cash boxes when caretaker is not present.

Formerly a campground, this site has been re-opened as a day use area.  It is
a wonderful setting for a family picnic with newly installed fire grates for
grilling, picnic tables, a large grassy area for any number of activities, and
a newly installed trail to a restroom.

Kinsman Ridge Trail (Appalachian Trail) 2.5 miles south of the South Kinsman
summit on the mountain's southern ridge. A composting privy, bear box, and

​The Beaver Brook Shelter sits at 3750 ft on the northern flank of Asquam
Ridge which extends east from Mount Moosilauke. The shelter is 1.5 miles from
NH Rte 112 in Kinsman Notch just off the steep Beaver Brook Trail (Appalachian
Trail). The shelter accommodates approximately 8 people and provides a
sweeping view of the White Mountains to the north. The campsites also includes
2 platforms (total capacity of 9), and a composting privy. A side trail leads
to a small stream which may not be reliable.

There are 26 non-reservable wooded sites with gravel pads, fire rings, and
picnic tables. A self-service pay system collects the fees on a first come,
first serve basis.

TIPS:

* Allow no more than 8 people and 2 vehicles per site and keep all equipment (including tents, tables and motor vehicles) on the graveled area. This will minimize compaction, allow low vegetation to grow, and enhance privacy between sites.

* Build all fires in the ring provided. “Only YOU can prevent forest fires,” says Smoky Bear. This will eliminate unsightly charcoal spots that soil camping equipment and clothing.

* Observe quiet hours between 10 PM and 7 AM. Turn off audio devices during these times and play them at a reasonable volume at all other times. See the bulletin board for the rules about operating generators.

* Gather only dead and down firewood. 

## Recreation

The picnic area is directly across from the campground, with it’s own water,
waste containers, and restroom facilities. The Civilian Conservation Corps
(CCC) built the picnic pavilion. A riverside setting offers one of the most
beautiful views of Mt. Moosilauke.

## Facilities

Vault toilets are handicap accessible and equipped with cold water faucets.
Refuse dumpster’s are provided; campers are encouraged to pack out their
recyclables. There are no hookups, dump stations, showers or group camping
sites available.

## Natural Features

Moose are commonly seen along the banks of the Wild Ammonoosuc River. This
river was the scene of major log drives in the 1900’s.

This shelter and accompanying tentsites is located on a spur path at 4,360 ft.
off the Bondcliff Trail between Mt. Guyot (pronounced Gee-O) and Mt. Bond at
the edge of the Pemigewasset Wilderness.  It is 0.6 miles from the Twinway
Trail (Appalachian Trail).  The open log shelter accommodates approximately 16
people with ten additional tent platforms.  There is a spring for water that
may be unreliable in the summer months.  A caretaker is in charge during the
summer months.  This site is often crowded for much of the summer months,
particularly weekends.

off Town Line Trail (Appalachain Trail) via a side trail 1.1 miles north of NH
RT 25 in the village of Glencliff. It can be also accessed via Long Pond Road
(North South Road) by going 0.2 miles south on Town Line Trail from where it
crosses the road. Jeffer's Brook nearby is the water source and a composting
outhouse is provided.
