The entire campground is very nice and private. The creek is within walking distance from all the sites. It's great for families, and it's very quiet. The only thing that may bother some is the sap that continuously drips from some oak trees. It gets on everything. Other than that, it's a great place.

It was quite. The shade was nice and lasted much of the day, The sound from the creek was soothing, Not far from the lake, Good thing we had our propane firepit as I can't imagine a camping trip without a fire. Trees did drip drops of black stuff but it washed off of the tents and whatever else caught one of them, Over we had a good time and would do it again,

I love this campground . Yes it’s primitive but it’s so lovely . The creek is beautiful and refreshing and the campground is secluded and charming.

We had to pick up trash from our site. Before we could set up.
Firepit was covered....wasnt supposed to be covered during our visit. Other than that, it was beatiful. Running creek, lots of birds, saw a deer next to our site. Lots of hiking trails. Did have a mt biker go right thru our campsite....no big deal....trail entrance was at our site. Other campers were kind and dogs were leashed...it was a peaceful quiet visit.

The staff and rangers were very polite and friendly. There was a sighting of a rattlesnake in campsite #5, we called in and they sent out a park ranger to relocate the animal. The officer arrived within the hour and allowed us to move to a different campsite for the night. The campsite was clean and shaded. Overall a great experience.

Quiet, simple, nicely protected from sun. Kanaka Peak Trail is a must do with rewarding views at the top.
RTT users beware: sites 1-3 cannot be used for RTT use. Site 5 is the best RTT spot.
