The good thing about this campground was that the electrical post worked so I was able to use my trailer AC in the sweltering heat.

The privacy was good because it was away from other tents. The bathrooms were a good distance away. The dirt was super hard. We couldn’t put the hooks down in the ground to secure the tent, cause it was too hard. We went down to try and rent a boat and they were all taken for the day that we were there the time that we picked was super hot over 98 degreesso we didn’t even stay the 2 nights there we came home the following day.

I wish you had more campsites with electricity. This time of year, it’s too hot to be without air conditioning through the night.

This location was excellent. Bathrooms and showers were clean and worked well. The staff were excellent and friendly. Enjoyed our stay here

It was very warm and it effected the brick building that housed the showers and bathrooms. A exhaust fan to move the hot air. Over all it was a nice stay.

Being able to see the water from our tent is the best part about this campsite. The waterline is visible from a tent until the lake begins to empty come late July or August. The view will return in March or April. I pitched our new instant tent under the two trees on the spot to try and have constant shade. The ground is too slanted there. I should’ve pitched the tent to the east of the parking spot, since that area is much flatter. Suggestions: 1. Don’t leave food unsupervised. If your food is not in heavy plastic containers, the birds will swoop down and devour it. 2. The picnic table has a slight lean but you can remedy this by bringing something to slide under the lower legs. 3. It’s a bit of a walk to the restrooms but the view makes the walk worth it. 4. You will hear cars on the bridge. I just pretended they were waves on the water. My husband and I had a fabulous time and we appreciate the wonderful, informative staff (many of whom are volunteers) who upkeep the campgrounds. It is usually breezy and cool in this area of the lake and watching the sunset from the campsite was relaxing, especially as we tossed our Nerf football about. Next time, we’ll bring a volleyball for the net across the way. We’ve already made our next reservation for October, before this section of the campground closes for the winter. The grounds were nice and everyone was lovely, but the bathrooms were rough enough we didn't feel safe using them. Waste on/around the toilets, bugs nesting in standing fluid, and caution tape over the door on one of the stalls. It was bad enough that we didn't stay the second night. Hopefully we just caught the campground at a bad time, but it's definitely something I'd be wary of if I were to camp here again.

Beautiful sunset place over the lake, BUT thats about it. Flat, hot, no shade.

I didn’t even get to camp where I paid for. Once I got there someone was camping where I paid. So I left and didn’t get a refund cuz lady up front was being rude.

We stayed at site 48. It was near the lake with a beautiful sunset view of the Sierra Foothills. Good Showers but the electricity in the bathroom was not working. It is close to a road but at night was not noisy. We had a shade tree so it was very pleasant. The table at the site also had a covering over it. Level parking for our van.

I love this camping area. I’ve camped there since I was a kid. However, there was a long pause for me and going back. We had a blast. I will say one of the ladies in the front is kind of grumpy. I think she could work on being friendlier other than that it was fantastic. Probably be there again for this summer.

We got there Thursday around 6 and the sprinklers where on all day and night our camp site was flooded with water it was horrible. The maintenance people didn't turn them off till the next day Friday.

Campground is in disrepair. Garbage left in our campsite upon arrival. Water faucet was (as documented) literally 75’ away. We left the campground and did not set up. What a dump!

A great place for water enthusiasts!

Wonderful campsite with exceptional staff! A huge shoutout to the rangers and the assistance team. They are proactive, friendly, and very responsible. When you are out enjoying nature, having such a considerate and helpful team nearby gives you tremendous peace of mind. Great experience overall!

Site 65 was ok but the shade is no where near the picnic table, the shade happens to be right next to the showers/bathrooms which people use all hours of the night. The picnic table stays in the sun from sunrise to sunset and was swarming with ants when i tried to use it. The lake is also extremely rocky so wearing water shoes is a must unless you have iron feet. There is also resident chickens and a rooster that don't bother anyone but will crow early in the AM so if your not fond of that i recommend staying on the north side loop.

•Campsite is terrible full of rodents running round campsite holes in ground about your site. • Weeds were high and not maintained. • Lady is the office was rude as I pulled into site and then went in checked in as it didn’t seem to be connect when you pull into the site as signage is awful. • Toilets had no soap in dispenser & you would get better showers at a prison • 0 signal on site Overall would not reccomend

The camphost was very rude. Music played loudly till late in the night They need to clean campsites before campers arrive, we found a dead squirrel tore up on our site , very gross my husband removed it

Disappointed in this COE location. Site was large and level, with plenty of room from other sites. Grass had not been cut in some time, there were 'active' animal holes all about the site and around the restrooms. Location of water in campsite was farther away than normal and I had to use a second hose to connect. Electric pedestal was in bad shape but useable. Showers could be used, but restrooms were closed and portable toilets were outside each restroom building. The portable toilets were in need of cleaning and supplies. Dump station did not have working water, had to stretch a long hose from nearby that was being used for watering plants. Overall location is not well maintained.

Very nice location with a lot of potential. Grounds are not up to other COE campgrounds that we have stayed at.

My absolute favorite place, just make sure and have extra water hose as some of the water spouts are a distance from the site. But enjoy the lake, rent a pontoon boat or a Kayak. Even enjoy day camp along the shoreline both sides of the lake are open this year.

Very little shade. Was able to see some impressive Sequia trees at the Trail of 100 Giants, which was very worthwhile. Also saw many areas devastated by wildfires ... sad but important to see. The campsite was adequate, but nothing special.

There were no facilities unlocked. The road going into the park was full of horrible potholes

The site was clean and the check in process was easy. There was a water issue but it was resolved pretty quickly. We did have a reservation at a different spot, but were given a refund due to power issues with plenty of time to find and reserve another spot. Overall a good experience.

Lovely campground and camp site. We enjoyed the peace and quiet during off peak season. Perfect location to camp in order to attend the Springville rodeo. However the showers were not available.

The host was very helpful. Grounds were clean and the Rangers gave useful information.

It was a nice campground. Sites nicely set apart. Lots of family camping which was nice to see.

Very satisfied with everything that this facility had to offer. All of the camp sites were very clean and easily accessible. Camp host was very friendly and helpful. We are making this our regular go to campground. It’s not far from where we live and I have relatives in the area

Constant electrical problems at powered sites. Rest rooms are filthy, trash in rest rooms. Porta Potty’s overflowing. Trash containers overflowing, trash on ground. This is not a random problem, we’ve been coming here for years and it’s always like this. We can hear the campers complaining loudly at the ladies at the check in office. They are polite and apologize. If this place were run by the private sector heads would roll, but since it’s public sector nobody is accountable!

This campground could be so much nicer if the US Army Corp would take care of it. Grass needed to be mowed super long and dry. There was so many thorns and fox tails. Definitely not dog friendly.

The showers and restrooms were filthy with no toilet paper in many occasions.

Nice, level and spacious spots with the beautiful lake and mountain backdrop. Friendly staff. Enjoyed visiting Springville on our way into and back out of the mountains nearby - and the nearby golf club was a plus. Dissapointing to have trash and cigarette butts on our site when arriving. By the end of the weekend, nearby dumpsters were overflowing with piles of trash dropped around the dumpster - staff never put a sign up to tell campers to use the empty dumpster on the other side of the park that was empty.

Our spot was amazing, the view of the lake wow, I recomend it.

Many people out on Spring break, but it still was a great place to camp. Nice flat spots that are easy to back into, lots of grass for dogs to enjoy. There was even a pick-up soccer match while we were there. The showers have great pressure and plenty of hot water, and no need for quarters to make it run. A great experience!

This location is my spring time favorite for the area. The sites are very large and give ample space between sites. We use this location for cycling around the Tule river and Deer creek drainages. This also includes Frazier valley and the Yokul Valley outside of Exeter. Great services near by at the reservation filling station, Porterville and Springville. A real diamond when the wild flowers are out.
