I visit Spicer yearly. It is great to be able to reserve in advance. I hope more of the spaces, especially in the first loop ~ spaces 1 to 24 I think, become reserveable. I drive all the way from Idaho to meet family there and it is very nerve racking to not know for sure that I have a spot to camp.
Thanks for asking~

First time here. Loved the campsites and the lake for Sup and kayaking. Did not like the biting FLIES and lots of bees. I suffered terribly for over a week with swelling, itching and possible infection from bites. Almost went to urgent care but treated at home finally and cleared up.
Mosquitos etc always love me (didn’t see any there) so I always swell. Never seen biting flies before. Terrible.

Campground hosts could've been more friendly greeting us but overall the facilities were clean and in good shape and it looked like there was a recent vegetation clearing and chipping because the roadway inside the campground was much more navigable with a trailer than it was last year. It was pretty empty and quiet while we were there with a lot of first come, first serve sites available and a bunch of sites "reserved" with traffic cones by the camp hosts. The lake was beautiful and full. My family had a great time there. Overall a good experience.

This campground has only one access to the water which is the boat ramp. State needs to man made a few more water access to be safe

Really enjoyed the campground. The only problem is there are very few reservable sites. When hauling a trailer 3-4 hours and then arrive at a campground that either has zero available sites or only sites available do not fit the equipment we brought, the only alternative is to return home.
Please make more sites reservable because we only go if we can be sure of getting a site that fits our equipment!!!!!!!!!!

Great place! No cell service down there so download the maps before, very minimal service on the water actually.
