Great campsite. Bathrooms were clean and bear-proof food storage was easy to use.

Kelty meadows is beautiful. Camp host was very helpful. Camp area was clean. Fresno dome hike was a short drive away. Bathrooms are a little rough (open pit with a small hut over them) but it’s camping.

Honest and full review. The road was not as bad as we anticipated it to be. I drive a Honda civic and we made it just fine bottom scraping just once on the front fender which is what everyone does on curbs in front of your local subway.
The site itself was huge we reserved 3 sites thinking we were going to need them but we ended up fitting 4 tents on one site. A 6 person, 4 person, 3 person, and another 6 person. With all of those tents set up we still had room to lay a mat down for the kids. The mat was still far from the fire pit!
There is a creek nearby where you can cross and go into a meadow that’s very peaceful.
The sites and pictures of the sites don’t do their justice. It felt like more of an open layout with some sites not really having designated start and end points. It’s hard to decide where your site starts and ends. This is mainly due to not having a paved road.
There was a lot of fire wood around the area. We did not need to buy wood once. We were able to use the dead trees and logs nearby.
We did not see any bears or wildlife other than a cow on our way up. There is also a couple of trails near by that the kids were able to have fun on as well.
All in all it was a great family campsite. Me and my girlfriend had the most experience and the rest of the family thought it was a great site.
One last thing, the bathrooms are porta potties style and stink.

This is a lovely site although slightly less well appointed than some, bring sufficient water for your stay as there is no supply on site site. The local area is idyllic and the Fresno Dome treck a definite must. Camp host was very helpful.

We had a splendid time at Kelty Meadow campground. Such a quiet and beautiful place. There’s a wonderful view of Fresno Dome from the meadow which is just steps away from the campground. A little stream runs next to campsites 3&4. We will be back!
