Directions
From Highway 140, turn on to Foresta Road. Landmarks include Red Bud Picnic Area and a National Park Service warehouse. After bridge, turn left onto the spur road. Immediately turn left onto Incline Road. Continue 1.3 miles to the facility.
Stay Limit
Check in from 2 PM, check out by 12 PM.

The campground was flood/mudslide damaged. Camp host site was buried. Toilet doors were sealed by 2 inches mud debris.. Looked being deserted.
And the next day road from Yosemite Valley to Hodgton Meadow campground was closed. I had to spend the night in motel instead.
I used Recreation.gov for a few years. This was unprecedented. Who’s in charge??
Very disappointed. I am hoping my upcoming reservations work as it should.

A very small and unorthodox campground because it’s made up of only 4 camping spots right by the road, but the lack of traffic passing by and the sound of the river just a couple dozen feet away make this a super private and relaxing camping spot not very far from the Yosemite National Park entrance. Camp host was very helpful and friendly. The website doesn’t specify which camping spot is yours (only spots 1-4 available) but that’s because you’re allowed to claim any available camping spot, assuming you have a reservation. If you arrive late at night, just set up at any unused camping spot and make sure to check in with the camp host in the morning to let them know what spot you chose. Firewood is sold by the camp host for only $8 a bundle. And the lower elevation of the campground made it less cold than the rest of the forest with no snow (my trip was in January). Will definitely be coming back again.

33$ for one night is really too much. We discovered this was a walk-in tent site, so we couldn't come in with our campervan. That's a mistake of mine. But apart from that, the campground isn't worth the 33$ regarding the amenities : only toilets. No water, no shower, no phone service at all.
We decided to leave.

Our spot wasn't marked as to which camp site to use and with that said we didn't have something on paper showing a reserved spot for us so someone could have came in and took our spot ahead of time. The campsite was fine down a short pathway from the parking lot and outhouse. No water available. Only 4 campsites.

Would be nice sites by the Merced River, but the sites had litter scattered all over including used TP. The dumpster was overflowing and the outhouse was dirty and very smelly. I definitely would not recommend this area until better maintenance is done.

Campground was overbooked and we were required to drive to another campground nearby and share a site with other campers despite having a reservation
