The group shelter was great. It would be nice if there were a couple of electric sites there. Also, in referenced to the campground. We were very saddened to see that many of the siter were empty reserved sites. I would like to suggest that you make 50% of the sites, at any NM State/Federal campground, be changed to first come first serve. Many Campers, including us, like to get up and go without the hassle of making reservations. Many Campers end up in undeveloped areas, whereas they leave them trashed. I know if all sites are reserved, and the Camper doesn't show up, the State and reservation site, still get paid; however, many Campers miss out in enjoying the great outdoors at a safe campground. Many of our camping friends share the same sentiment.

The site was clean and the host very good. Some people in the regular campground did not abide by quiet hours going until midnight. We noted this to the host and he addressed it with them. We were grateful no one was flying drones around, I hope that is now illegal...the noise can be an issue with mostly campers and that and bright lights affect those of us in tents. It would be great to make this campground tents only, since it is small and the reality is that campers with noise, lights, generators, etc seem to be taking over. Thank you so much....for all your work

The experience was excellent, except for an incident with the camp host who made some very sexist comments to several of the women who were part of our camping retreat in the group site. A suggestion is to have more training for the camp hosts. Last year the host was wonderful. This year the older gentleman from Texas seemed to bring his Texas prejudices to New Mexico. So grateful to the efforts of the Parks to keep our parks an amazing place to reflect in quiet and enjoy our sacred earth.
