The grounds were clean and well kept with fresh asphalt. My site, number 5, was so level I did not have to use leveling blocks. The pit toilets were clean. It was nice to be at such a "developed" site that had no water, sewer, or electricity. It made my first "self contained" trip nice and now I feel more comfortable trying some dispersed sites in the future.

Loved the campground. Big, beautiful trees and nice private campsites. Was disappointed that the camp host never came around and the toilets were super stinky and not cleaned once during our stay. However, we really loved the campground and will be back.

Bathrooms were clean. There is good spacing between sites. The sites were paved and relatively level with site #3 requiring minimal leveling adjustments. Fire danger was very high with a fire just 10 miles away. But that didn't stop one of the campsites from having a fire both evening and morning even with open fire restrictions.

It was a very peaceful stay, with lots of hummingbirds and chipmunks to visit and entertain. Trash bins were very full from the weekend and didn't seem to be emptied while we were there, from Monday to Thursday. A very nice green area within the Santa Fe National Forest.

Nice quiet place.
The small creek was still a trickling even though it was a VERY dry winter and spring.
Great star gazing and bird watching.
Close to San Pedro for an easy day hike.
Or hike down past the day use area along the valley.

The cows have invaded this space. We have camped here 5 previous times and only saw cows when we took the hike to the reservoir/ lake. The calling between adult cows and babies was VERY loud and was happening all day. Not very peaceful anymore.
