We had a really great experience at Ribbonwood Campground. We arrived late at night around 1:00 a.m., and everything went smoothly even at that hour. Our neighbors were still awake, which actually made it easy for us to settle in and set up our campsite comfortably without any issues. The overall arrival process felt simple and stress-free. The campground itself was well maintained. The restrooms were clean, and the showers had warm water, which was a big plus during our stay. It made the camping experience much more comfortable compared to more basic sites. There were also electrical outlets available in certain areas, which was helpful for charging phones and handling small electrical needs while camping. One of the best parts of the experience was how peaceful and remote the location felt. It is definitely a more secluded campground, and by our last night, we were among the last campers there. It was quiet, a little eerie in the best way, and very memorable. Being surrounded by nature with minimal distractions made it a great place to disconnect. You can hear the sounds of nature throughout the campground, especially at night, which really adds to the atmosphere and makes it feel immersive and unique. It’s the kind of place where you truly feel away from everything. The campground also has a gated entrance with a code provided to guests. I would recommend keeping the gate closed at all times since the area is remote, which helps maintain safety and ensures only registered campers are entering the property. Overall, Ribbonwood was a peaceful, clean, and well-managed campground. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back again.

The campgrounds and bathroom/ shower area were very clean! Our space 02 was very roomy and cozy. We stuck to the space and didn’t really explore but all the time we spent there was an absolute blast ! Definitely coming back again!!

The gate was locked. There was no combination code on any of the emails. No one answered the phone numbers on the reservation. We were literally stranded with no one to go after a 3 hour drive. My daughter was able to get ahold of someone at Recreation.gov who said he thought the campground was closed for the winter.. Very confusing that we could book and pay for a reservation at a closed campground. I would give negative starts if that was an option.

I love this site. It's quiet and serene, and perfect for watching animal life, from quails to rabbits, to roadrunners.

Found 6 baby rats in toilet, there was rat poop everywhere on toilet, sink and floor. Trash cans were all full all around campground and even containers for horse manure where full of trash. The round had deep potholes and the parking for the trailer in campsite was overgrown and scratched side of trailer. Looked like nobody had checked on campground in weeks even though we had reservations I would expect someone to make sure it was ready. We have camped here for years and this was the worst
