A very quiet camp ground , the host very friendly, a short drive to the river would definitely camp again.

Campground is good. Has lots of room. Each spot comes with a picnic table, fire ring and box to put stuff. They have plenty of space and our shady. Only issue is there is no current access to the creek. You have to drive to Bonita Falls and find parking. You cannot access the picnic area.

This was my first and will be my last time going to Apple while campground. When I booked ahead of time they did not have all the warnings and post about no running water or bonfires. So about 2 weeks ahead I had to make sure on the site. I had high hopes but figured let’s go even with all the restrictions going on. Didn’t think cooking outside in the heat is bad but on top of it there were thousands of wasp trying to get into your food. You have to properly store and cover it or they are everywhere. Porta potty’s are super gross smelling. Luckily I have my own portable toilet. Had to bring our own water source but other than that it was alright. Found out people from the previous year ruined it for everyone else that went after them. No water, no bonfires, no nothing.

Nice area, a lot of bees (yellow jackets) which got in the way of cooking. There was also no campfires only propane. No additional complaints .
