Overview

Grizzly Creek campground is located near Bucks Lake in the northern Sierra Mountains on the Plumas National Forest. The Bucks Lake area offers year-round recreation activities including fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, skiing,snowshoeing and horseback riding.

Recreation

Bucks Lake is a short drive away and provides fishing, boating, and canoeing. Hiking trails which provide access to the Bucks Lake Wilderness and the Pacific Crest Trail are also a short drive away. 

Facilities

There are 11 total campsites suitable for RV and tent camping, standard non-electric sites. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. There are vault toilets and a bear proof dumpster for garbage. No drinking water is available.

Natural Features

Grizzly Creek is set in fir and pine trees offering shade during the warm summer months. Situated at 5,500 feet in elevation, the campground is settled near Bucks Lake.

**From Quincy** : Take Oroville-Quincy Hwy (Bucks Lake Road) west. Turn right at the intersection of Bucks Lake Road and Big Creek Road. The campground will be on your right approximately one mile past Bucklin Road. If you have a large RV you will need to take Oroville-Quincy Hwy, turn left onto Big Creek Road. Follow road to the campground. **From Oroville:** Take Oroville-Quincy Hwy 162 East. The campground will be on your right before reaching Bucklin Road..
