It’s always a good time at Island Park but this last time the bathrooms were closed and the electricity went out our last night there. Other than that we had a good time

The space 49 location was perfect, and advertised as able to accommodate our coach, however, the rear bumper bottomed out on the entry and we couldn’t use it. We couldn’t find a ranger to discuss and the assistant ranger told us that he would be around this evening. He never came.“camp volunteer” was not able to help us. We reserves space 34 for the same timeframe, but we’re not able to get refunded for the space we couldn’t use (49).
Not pleased with not making refunds available, RIPPED OFF!!

Came for the first time and I would never return. Unless you have water toys to go out into the lake it’s a hard pass. Overflow is horrible, basically parking spots with white sprayed lines , neighbors directly next to you on every side , no shade , no direct access to lake and over crowded.

Site 14 is absolutely not a RV site. It might have electricity but you literally park on the side of the road which makes you no where near the fire pit or picnic table. We were very disappointed when we showed up and very confused. No one in the guard shack all weekend to even assist or find us a new site.

The campsites 45 and 46 were a little difficult to find in the dark as we arrived late. But the campsites 45 and 46 in upper loop were very near to washrooms that had showers as well. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The view of the lake was very beautiful in the morning.

Decent location, decent bathrooms, no bear box. Quiet hours are not enforced though and there was a very loud group there the same night as us who were up with music and lights until 2am.

A white family "older men" in campground site # 29 kept making racist remarks at our family every time we walked to the bathrooms.
The said "here comes the burrito family". They had their generator runing way past 10 PM, in fact most of the night. The evening park ranger or anyone to call. Not a good place to camp in the future.

We have camped at island park for 20+ years. It’s a beautiful spot for families. My only disappointment this time around was to see how poorly maintained the restrooms were. Even though we expect camp style bathroom, there was clearly lack of any maintenance

I didn't like the camp site because it has not shade. I was with my mom and aunts and it was not a great experience to them to be on the sun specially at almost 90 degrees

We stayed at the upperloop - good view of the lake. Most RV sites have no to minimum shade though. We have stayed at various campsites here and all of them are not level, at all.

This tent-only campsite has a good amount of shade during the day and it gets decent view of the lake and the campground as it is slightly elevated.

I enjoyed spot 4 as a solo camper with my dog. The restroom was right behind camp 4 and it was decently maintained. No noxious smells coming from the the restroom as well. I liked the convenience of having a shower in the bathrooms as well. The walk down to the water from the camp spot is a brisk 5 minute walk and the water was also decently warm to swim in. This was end of May to early June.

Pine Flat Lake is beautiful and was visible from three sides of the camper due to flooded Overflow campsites. The restroom nearby was closed, but the central restroom was open (out of toilet paper). The non-flooded campsites were all reserved, but the campground was not crowded due to closed sites. Ranger checked us in as soon as we arrived. Had a good experience. OTHER: No cell service without booster. Uneven, but shaded parking spot. Can fit a 20-foot RV. Campsite is downhill from parking, above entrance booth and road into campground (no privacy).

Super low-key in the cut also comes with an electrical outlet port super ideal. Very close boat launch so keep in mind loud noise ! Love this campground . Very nice we came in January absolutely breathtaking . Very green !! Went recently ( may) and it was pretty dry but still fun also running hot water and close by bathrooms !!

First time here and was surprised to see that that Campsite was not close to the driveway. End of April. Lots of foxtails so if you have dogs be careful. Bathrooms are old with minimal cleaning. Lots of hills on the upper loop. We were there midweek so it was quiet.

The grounds were great and the staff was very helpful. However, a common problem at this campground for RV camping is the extremely unlevel camping spots. We had Spot 10 and there was no way we could possibly level our 24 ft RV. Therefore we had to spend the time camping with the slide out retracted and the refrigerator and freezer off. Not fun. So just be forewarned if you plan on RV camping here check the spot to see if it is even remotely level.

Very compact area in parts. Definitely read the fine print about your spot… the mention of significant leveling requirements is a HUGE understatement.

Very nice and well maintained campground. The bathroom right next to us was being renovated, so that was the only down side, but the next ones were only 150 yards away. We loved it time there.

We stood in campsite Upper 23, our spot was slightly unlevel and very sloppy. I suggest taking extra wood to level your RV or rig. The restrooms can use a little more maintenance and cleaning. Restroom stalls and the shower area had lots of spiders. This spot had very poor cellphone reception, so I had to walk away to find service. Campsites are very close to each other, with no privacy. The park was very clean of trash. Park has a spectacular view; you can catch beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Jimmy, the camp host, was very kind and helpful.

Site 22 has an AWESOME view of the lake. Might take a couple times in order to back it in. Make sure your checks are well placed. Like the description states there is no spicket there but there is one approximately 150 ft. Away. So plan accordingly. We will back again for sure

We come back to Island Park often. We love it. Only two down sides- The WIFI in this area is very weak. Sometimes in the off peak time of the year we find that our favorite site is closed. Neither of these stops us from coming back, over and over.

The park ranger didnt show up the entire time we were there, so we never got fully checked in or got our vehicle passes. The restroom next to our campsite was marked clised for the season. The group next to us at lot 46, 47, 48, and 49 (they were all together) were blasting music until 3 am with super bright camp lights. Then a group of men were fishing and walked past my family (we are black) calling each other the n word and laughing like it was funny. Ive camped here multiple times, this trip was for my son's 4th birthday. I will more than likely never go here again, the wife and I really have to talk it out.
