Brock Creek Lake Recreation Area

The Brock Creek Trail is a multi-use trail system located on the Big Piney
Ranger District in the beautiful Ozark National Forest. The trail system
consists of two major loops and many interconnecting loops. The combined loops
provide over 42 miles of trails for dirt bikers, Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV)
riders, and horseback riders. The trails meander through majestic oak/hickory
forests and occasional areas of pine. These areas also contain small streams
that traverse through the trail system, adding to the beauty of the area. The
Brock Creek Trail system offers riders of all skill levels a great place for
outdoor recreation that is suitable for the whole family.

Located near the Illinois Bayou, the area exhibits picturesque bluffs and
breathtaking scenery.

Effective October 2021, Bayou Bluff became a Point of Interest. The fees are
suspended for camping and day use and is now open all year.  Upper loop is
closed to camping and will be eliminated completely. Use of the vault toilet,
large pavilion, three shelters, and a small pavilion will remain. The
pavilions are managed on a first-come, first-service basis. Trash services are
managed by visitors as "pack-it-in, pack-it-out," and Leave No Trace ethics
are posted on information kiosks.

Active partner groups and volunteers are helping extend the life of the
current amenities, excluding trash services.

claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by
scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay
feature.**

Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your
arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.**
