Two Rivers

Overview

In the rolling, forested landscape of Two Rivers, two of America's most beautiful spring-fed rivers combine to make up the Ozark National Scenic Riverways.

As the first national park area to protect a wild river system, visitors have plenty of scenic water activities to enjoy as well as hiking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.

Recreation

The crystal clear Current River flows past the campground, offering excellent canoeing, tubing, swimming, and fishing. Jacks Fork meets the Current River nearby. Over 130 miles (209 km) of waterways exist within the park. Find canoe and kayak rentals through our list of Riverways Outfitters on the park website.

Several miles of hiking and horseback riding trails crisscross the region, including the Alley Overlook Trail, Chubb Hollow Trail, Ozark Trail, Cave Spring Trail, and Big Springs Trail.

Facilities

Open year-round, this campground has flush toilets and shower facilities available April 15 through October 15. Picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills are provided. Roads and parking spurs are paved.

Natural Features

Known for its caves, springs, sinkholes and losing streams, the Ozark National Scenic Riverways has over 300 identified Caves/Karst systems within its boundaries. The caves range in size from a rock overhang to almost seven miles of identified passages. Eight caves, including an open sinkhole, have been designated as outstanding natural features.

The Ozark forest is mostly white oak and Shortleaf pine, Missouri's only native pine species. Along the rivers, Sycamore, Cottonwood, River birch and maples are common. Redbud and Dogwood are also abundant, putting on a spectacular show during most spring months.

Nearby Attractions

Historic and picturesque Alley Mill and scenic Alley Spring are nearby. The mill is open daily in the summer and rangers offer tours upon request. Round Spring and Round Spring Cave are nearby as well, with ranger-guided tours offered daily during summer months.

Directions

Two Rivers Campground is located East of Eminence, Missouri. From Eminence, take Highway 106 East to V Highway. Turn left on Highway V, which ends at the Two Rivers Campground/River Access.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Camp sites have very nice fire rings and picnic tables but limited level spots for comfortable tent camping using more than one tent.

Overall, nice view and convenient for floating. The river access is nice. However, the campsite is situated next to the main road and our site had the road going to the pullout/put in between us and the bath house. The campsites are pretty open and you can see your neighbors. Also, the trash truck came very early (still dark) in the morning one of the mornings waking up our whole group.

Shower house and bathrooms clean and ready for use on a busy weekend. Campsite was clean except for bits of trash. Not unsightly, but as a true back country camper, sad to see that not all leave no trace. Used the outfitter to transport a car back to camp. Perfectly executed for a price that was a bit high but reasonable.

Overall everything was fantastic. The only comment that I would make is that we thought these were pull in campsites. They were not. There was a parking lot for our cars and we had to haul all of our gear to the sites. Not a big deal, but just not what we expected. Park ranger was outstanding, facilities were clean. We will be back.

I was the only one there. It’s a nice spot where the 2 rivers meet or split depending on your perspective, where you are and which direction you’re paddling your canoe or kayak.

Two Rivers has long been a favorite campground & rest stop along the Current when paddling. Site #20 is a little removed from the main campground sites and right along the water.

You must be kidding throw 60 people into maybe 1/3 of an acre we didn’t stay there drinking partying fireworks and people with no clothes on go maybe on a weekend when no one is there what a joke waste of 20 dollars we went and paid 70 for another campsite and found out others that said they were full had no one staying at them never again beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A small campground overlooking the beautiful convergence of the Current and Jack's Fork. Riverfront site 20 is secluded and about a 1/4 mile away from the rest of the sites. Loved our stay!

While the campground should have been mowed, it was still a great place to stay. Have to say that the bathroom/shower house was kept clean for being as small as it was with as many campers that were present. I'd go back again.

Nice campground, water available, sites are small but all have picnic tables and lantern post, parking at sites is limited if sites are full. Nice spacious group camping sites, 2 area's to choose from also over flow parking is available. Restrooms clean and well maintained but be careful in the showers, once the water is going the floors get slick as ice. I nearly feel a couple of times the week I stayed there. There are no rails in showers to grab ahold of or for the handicapped campers. It's definitely a safety hazard as well as not suitable per the disabilities act for handicapped access.

Great Location by the river. Clean campground and bathrooms that have showers. The only issue was with parking. We reserved a group campsite “Cluster 2” and had trouble finding parking because other visitors who were not camping, took our space . Other than that we had a good time!

Campground in the genre that will always come back there willingly and without fear. Campsites are neat, the grass is trimmed, the campfire rings are clean. Restrooms and showers clean and pleasant, with a beautiful view of the Current river, and a very easy descent to the river.
