Graham Harbor Creek Campground

This forested drive to campground is nicely tucked in the 25 Mile Creek
Drainage away from the busy town of Chelan but close to the Lake and
recreational activities. There are seven single tent sites and two small group
/ RV sites, all of which have fire rings and tables. A group shelter
containing four picnic tables may be accessed via barrier-free trails from
both double campsites, but the group shelter is available to all campers on a
first come basis.

Prince Creek Campground

## Overview

Silver Falls Group site sits in a forested, mountain terrain on the banks of
the Entiat River within the Silver Falls Campground. This is one of the more
popular sites on the Entiat Ranger District. The cascading water of Silver
Falls is a draw for many visitors to this particular area, which is especially
refreshing in the summer heat. The Silver Falls National Recreation Trail is
an exceptional family friendly hike that takes you up, around and down the
falls. Panoramic views of the surrounding mountains await you on your hike.

## Recreation

Silver Falls Campground is a great base camp for a variety of outdoor
recreational activities. Anglers enjoy casting a line into the Entiat River
above Entiat Falls, about 2.5 miles up-river from the campground. Carving
through a wide, U-shaped valley, the river is dominated by relatively shallow
riffles interspersed with pools, plunge pools and glides where the trout
fishing is quite good. Populations of rainbow, cutthroat and eastern brook
trout are found in this tributary. Selective gear rules apply to fishing in
the Entiat River. See Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife for fishing
rules and regulations.

Silver Falls National Recreation Trail offers a 1.8 mile hike next to one of
the most beautiful waterfalls in the region. The trail winds along Silver
Creek to the base of the falls, through towering canopies of cedar and pine.

points and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The Silver Falls
Trail is an exceptional family friendly hike that takes you up, around and
down the falls. The elevation gain is approximately 600 feet.

Silver Falls Campground offers one group site with a historic C.C.C. covered
cooking area, that is reservation only, and 31 first-come, first-served single
sites. Each site contains a picnic table and campfire ring. Multiple vault
toilets, garbage service, and a solar pump at the guard station with potable
water are provided during the main summer season. If the trash cans are full,
please pack out any extra trash produced greater than what the cans can
accommodate.

The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest offers stunning scenic vistas, high
elevation alpine peaks, valleys of old growth forest and rugged shrub-steppe
country that makes up the diverse landscape. Elevations range from below 1,000
feet to more than 9,000 feet. The surrounding forest provides excellent
habitat for a wide range of wildlife. Visitors may catch glimpses of mule
deer, elk, bald eagles, and a variety of woodpeckers and owls. Visitors can
expect many days of warm, sunny weather in the summer, and winters with clear
skies and plenty of snow.

miles north on Entiat River Road from Silver Falls is Entiat Falls. This broad

A Federal Dock Site Boat Permit is required from May 1 - October 31 for use of
all National Forest and Park Service docks on Lake Chelan.  Permits must be
pre-purchased before docking. Purchase a $10 Day Permit or $75 Season Pass

Mitchell Creek Campground

Group site at 2,500 feet elevation.  Maximum trailer length 25 feet. 33 miles
up the Entiat River Road from Highway 97A.

Windy Camp Campground

16 campsites along the Entiat River at 2,000 feet elevation. Water, vault
toilets & garbage service. Maximum trailer length 28 feet.  27 miles up the
Entiat River Road from Highway 97A.

of Lake Chelan, with a short trail to view Domke Falls.

There is no access to Domke Lake, Domke Lake National Recreation Trail #1280
nor Domke Mountain Lookout Trail #1280.1 from Domke Falls.

### CAMPING CLOSURE FOR PUBLIC SAFETY

Pursuant to _36 CFR 261.50(a)_ , the following acts are prohibited on the
Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Chelan Ranger District. This closure is
effective as of January 18, 2017, and will remain in effect until terminated.

#### **PROHIBITED**

Camping is prohibited at the following campgrounds on the Chelan Ranger
District:

  1. Lucerne Campground
  2. Domke Lake Campground
  3. Stuart Camp
  4. Hatchery Camp 

Camping is prohibited in the campgrounds described above unless indicated
otherwise. (36 CFR 261.58(e))

The camping closure is depicted on the attached map (Exhibit A).

#### **EXEMPTIONS**

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this
order:

  1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omissions.
  2. Any Federal, State or local officer, or a member of any organized search and rescue, emergency services, or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.

This prohibition is in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part
261, Subpart A.
