The Buffaloberry Campground is a great site for picnicking, bank fishing and camping. It is about 12 miles from Alcova. It features four overnight camping sites with tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, a vault toilet and parking.

Campsites are first come, first served. There is no water available at this campground. The site is ADA accessible.

The North Platte River is the only floatable waterway in central Wyoming and has become the destination fishery for the state. Scenic and recreational values of the North Platte River are derived from a combination of environmental factors and management practices. The river is highly valued as a class 1 fishery.
