Dry Saddle trailhead is one of the major trailheads accessing the Frank
Church-River of No Return Wilderness lying north of the Salmon River. It
provides access to many high mountain lakes along Sheep Hill Trail #575. It is
only a 10-mile hike to Sheep Hill Lookout. A loading ramp is provided for
stock. The 250 degree view from the trailhead is spectacular!

Poet Creek Campground is situated in tall timber. Four stock mangers are

Granite Springs campground has four campsites with metal fire rings, but no
tables. It is an excellent area to stop and spend the night as you're
traveling the Magruder Corridor. OHV riding is popular along the Magruder
Corridor and on other Forest Service roads in the area. The campground has an
information board and a vault toilet, but visitors should plan to bring their
own drinking water.

toilets service the campground. Larger RVs should preview the site before

Wendover Campground is situated on stretch of land along the Wild and Scenic
Lochsa River off the Northwest Passage Scenic Byway and All American Road (US
Highway 12) at mile post 158.2. With 27 campsites all positioned within a
mature, moss covered pine forest and centered around a small stream, this
campground offers a serene spot for camping, picnicking, fishing, hiking,
nature viewing and most importantly, relaxing. Hosts are provided when
campground is open.

The Campground will accomodate RV's up to 40-ft.

near Mallard Creek. Although there is a toilet, there are no tables or fire

The Trapper Creek camp area provides one camp pad located in tall timber next
to South Fork Red River, a toilet and information board. The parking area
serves as a snow park in the winter for on/off loading snowmobiles to access
groomed snowmobile trails.
