Directions
From Hattiesburg
Travel East on U.S. Hwy. 42 approximately 21 miles to Richton. From Richton continue east on Hwy. 42 approximately 12 miles to Sandhill.
From Laurel
Travel South on Hwy. 15 approximately 27 miles to Richton. Turn left onto U.S. Hwy. 42 and travel 12 miles to Sandhill.
From Mobile, Alabama
Drive approximately 55 miles on U.S. Hwy. 45 North to the MS-AL state lines and travel west on Hwy. 42 for 19 miles to Mississippi County Road 232. Turn left (south) and travel two miles to Turkey Fork.

Turkey Fork is a nice relaxing setting. From the moment of arrival to checkout was a tranquil experience Children were riding bikes which required them to actually pedal and seemed to be enjoying themselves even with the heat. People were mindful of one another’s solitude and no boisterous attitudes were observed. Cell signal was minimal but existent. Nice couple days of relaxation!

Turkey Fork is our favorite spot to camp for a weekend getaway. It is a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing spot to recharge from a busy life. We have been to several other state parks that are about the same distance from our house, but they don't compare with what we look for in a campsite. We love the distance between the campsites. We will definitely be returning considering we returned back to back weekends this month. Awesome place to fish, relax, and recharge.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay.It is very quiet in the RV camp ground .They had great accommodations such as the restrooms ant showers.They only drawback we found was that the parking lots all had overhanging limbs on the trees and we could not get our satellite TV.We only saw one site where #10 where you might be able to lock on to the satellite.EVERYTHING else was very nice.

We had an extremely serene and enjoyable stay. We brought our kayaks and our bikes. Both got a good workout. The lake is completely surrounded by pristine forest. The water lilies were blooming and provided a beautiful display during our morning kayaks along the shores of the lake. We have stayed at numerous Army Corps of Engineers sites, We love the lakes and the clean campgrounds. Turkey Fork stands out above them for the solitude of the campground. There are a lot of trees between the sites, and there is no environmental noise aside from other campers. I highly recommend this campground. We will be back with fishing poles next time.
