It was as expected and detailed in the facility information so no surprises. The road in and out was forest service road and very bumpy. Plenty of sun for my panels. I chose to leave early to find a location with dump station on the water. This was a great stop over site. Would stop here again but I was recovering from illness and wanted a little more amenities.

Camp host was nice and attentive. Shower facility had good showers and hot water. Overall, the campground needs repairs, but the problems mostly affect the tent camping area (west side), and have little affect on the RV side.

The camp host was very rude. We were one of two guests in the entire campground. My husband drove over in the vehicle linked to the registration and asked him for the code to the bathroom. He refused saying we got it in the email. We didn’t. He still refused, and then rudely asked us when we were leaving. We never got the code to the bathroom. The sites are pretty exposed, no trees, very basic. I’m sure it bakes in the summer. The road going in is rough washboard for at least 5 miles. The place is run down, there’s a creepy dilapidated building on entry, everything is rusty. I only gave it two stars because the Ocala Forest deserves them. We won’t return to this camp.

The host and wife are always welcoming and they keep the camp ground clean, safe, and maintained with exceptionally clean bathrooms. Been coming for years and will continue to do so in the future. Be sure to follow ocala and campground rules. Specifically, when using the gate after hours.

This was a beautiful camping area, which was extremely conveniently located for riding on the ATV trails. We camped in tents with little ones and the campground was gated and had a perfect riding track for the kids. The campsites were really large and equipped with quality picnic tables and fire rings. There was not an electric or water hook up, but there were water spigots nearby the sites which helped with dishes and hand washing. There are trash bins located in abundance around around the campgrounds. The bathrooms were clean and cool. The showers were also clean, large, and had hot water. The weekend got relatively busy and the bathrooms stayed clean the whole time. All the info you need is provided in your reservation confirmation and the camp hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful when we had questions about the camp and/or trails. The trail head in the campground offered maps of the area. They also did a great job of making sure non-campers weren't riding all over the campground while the gates were open during the day. The gates were closed at night offering extra security, and the mini-track was closed up during quiet hours to discourage night time riding but reopened early in the morning for the fun to resume. There was plenty of firewood to be found nearby. There was limited shade, and definitley some dust from the roads but both were to be expected given where we were. I would recommend a tent for shade and a generator for charging things. It was affordable and easy to reserve. We had a fantastic time and we will definitley be going back!

Campground was clean as usual and the bath house is always a plus. The only complaint and it’s not the camp grounds fault is all the can am riders that used the road as a playground and slung rocks on my vehicle. The Latinos really need to be stopped they will destroy the opportunities for riding for the rest of us.

Big Scrub is kind of disappointing for its price. $28 ($20 for site and $8 for uncle Sam for the "convenience" of using the online service) unless you have the special passes and then its closer to $15 which is more fair. No hookups at all except for 3 spigots randomly in between sites spread across the whole site. Bathrooms are nice. Few sites are level and there is no shade which is crazy for a park in Florida.

The campground is big - lots of sites. No electric, but Bear Boxes are provided. The previous night at Hopkins Prairie, Mr. Bear visited my site, so I was glad to see a safe place to store my food. The bath rooms were very clean. There was hot water in the shower, BUT, they've set it up so you have to push a button to get the water to run. The problem is, the button is not located next to the water handles, but 2 steps away, so you have to step out of the water to keep it running! Not a fan.

Pretty good campground for access to the Centennial Trail, considering it doesn’t have water or electric hookups. I didn’t see the shower house so I can’t comment on that. A little noisy on a Saturday night from a group of dirt bikers revving and riding around the campground at night, but no loud music or rowdiness. Only complaint is the difficulty with purchasing a pass for the trail when the cell signal (at least for Verizon) is fairly weak. Recreation.gov application that you have to fill out to get your pass requires a ton of information but doesn’t allow for entering an Access Pass number and calls the Centennial Trail “the Adventure Trail.” Not the campground’s fault, just a really annoying way to start out for a ride.

The trails are unsafe with the big machines that use them now. The camp host have done a good job of clearing and dragging them. But someone needs to enforce the size rules for the big machines or make trails one direction only. There were two head on collisions during the time we stayed there.

We get to enjoy family time we cook together we hang out together and we go riding all day the family experience is amazing. I don’t want to write a review because I had such a great time, it was not crowded, the bathrooms had hot water for showers, the restrooms were cleaned well, the trials were a lot of fun, and I didn’t have any complaints. The people that take care of the camp were really nice and communicated with us well.

We normally have a very good experience when we go stay at this campground. I like the fact we can just stay without a reservation but this time the people next two us were in a group of two campers and they had their dogs loose a good part of the time they even came into our area were my dogs are on their leash they kept apologizing but come on just put them on a leach then the one lady actually took hers into the shower when I was over there it was just to much I hope not to be up there camping with people like that again

This park is 5 miles into the Ocala National Forest, great for off-roading. We were able to make it to the campground with our 30 ft class C on the hard surface roads, not paved. Campsites were relatively level and the hosts were very friendly and informative. No power, but there were faucets sprinkled through each row as well as bathhouses.
