Beautiful sites. Quiet. Bathrooms had many cobwebs. We made our reservation for 1 night at approx 3 pm. Recreation.gov site showed only 1 available site but there were over 10 sites available. Not sure why this happens

It's a nice getaway. Mostly level. Beautiful pine trees provide good shade. The place is very clean. Vault toilets. Most of the summer no bugs, but the our last run up there had gnats and mosquitos. Its the high elevation, or maybe they spray(?), keeps the bug level down to tolerable. It is a nice go spot if you want to visit the crazy expensive old town of Truckee. It has nicely paved bike trails close by with the most beautiful view of meadows and mountains. Also a small lake you can walk down to. And can't forget the airport, which is right next to the campground. About noon time there are small planes doing circles and they can be loud. It's not expensive so if you decide to forgo the escape it's not the loss experienced other campgrounds. It's usually full but there is enough privacy provided that I really like it there.

Nice campground, good spacing between site and clean bathrooms. Proximity by bicycle to trails and downtown Truckee good.

Exceptional camp host. The bathroom facility are always clean and the campsites are mess free and ready for usage. I would like to give special thanks to the camp host for their support in helping me to dismantle my awning when it collapsed at the campsite.

Nice, clean campground. About the only noise is the occasional plane landing at nearby airport. Great place to relax.

Beautiful environment, as always. I enjoy the small lake, watching the birds and other people relaxing with their dogs.
So quiet and serene. The campground is small, no much noise. I love to watch the kids play--if there are any.
I did get too cold at night, and I envied the people sleeping inside trailers and vans.
The bathrooms are stinky, as always. Oh, well. The Host was off duty that Monday and Tuesday.
Quick access to the airport deli, with great menu of fresh foods with interesting spices.
I could really keep away from the Tahoe summertime crowd and enjoy the beauty of nature.
