Great campsite with plenty of separation and privacy. Wonderful views, beautiful trees. Well-maintained campground.

I LOVE this place...but $34/night for NO WATER and ONE pit toilet is preposterously expensive...no oversight no rangers, no camp hosts to check on us. What billionaire politician/military industrial complex insider/politician/judge/elite is pocketing this money, made off of campgrounds & roads built and paid for decades ago. paid for over and over. on crumbing unimproved roads? We get jack sh*t for this fee. But I love that nobody comes here and I get to get off grid and make celestial photos.

breath taking views, supreme stargazing action, and... aliens?! Reyes Peak has been my go-to spot for years and it is a true gem. And yes, I experienced extra-terrestrials while camping here and it scared me senseless. I can't give it five stars because I am a spoiled car camper and this place lacks the amenities I prefer such as a flush toilet and potable water. If you have not been, you are doing yourself a disservice. Make that wild drive up the mountain, break out your hammock, and if you happen to see a red light in the valley that multiplies and it looks like it is getting closer to you—get into your tent asap!
