Overview
The Juniper Point Campground is located on Lake Texoma, in the Cross Timbers region of Texas. The lake is said to be the "Playground of the Southwest," where outdoor activities like fishing, boating, hiking and hunting abound.Recreation
Lake Texoma is a large reservoir with an excellent fishery and many access points. Boating, swimming, water skiing, hunting, birding and relaxing on the sandy beaches are the typical pursuits of most visitors.The lake is known as the "Striper Capital of the World," one of the few reservoirs in the nation where striped bass reproduce naturally. Other popular species include largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass, white crappie, black crappie, channel catfish and blue catfish.
Also available is the scenic Cross Timbers hiking trail, a very popular trail that winds for 14 miles above the lake on rocky ledges and through blackjack woodland. Forty miles of equestrian trails surround the lake as well.
Facilities
This campground offers 44 campsites with electrical and water hookups, and 25 basic sites without hookups. A day-use group picnic shelter with electricity is available as well.Other amenities include flush and vault toilets, showers and drinking water. Two dump stations, two boat ramps and two docks are located on-site. The site is close to beautiful sandy beaches. General stores and a marina are within one mile.
Natural Features
The campground is situated on the Texas side of Lake Texoma. Post and blackjack oaks forest the rolling hills of the region. Deer, turkeys, bobcats, hawks, waterfowl and songbirds are abundant around the lake.Nearby Attractions

From Whitesboro, TX, travel 13 miles north on Highway 377. The campground is
on both sides of the highway as the highway enters the Willis Bridge crossing
into Oklahoma. The east side access is a contolled entrance park. The west
side access is where the trailhead for the Cross Timbers hiking trail is
located.

We love this place! Could use some landscape maintenance. Limbs need to be trimmed up to accommodate bigger rvs and their awnings and mowing needs to happen weekly. Saw some guys come to mow but never did….

Be Aware- spot 20-C has 4 sharp rebars sticking up and my niece hurt her foot on the rebars.
Reported on line and to the volunteers and we were there in that area 10 days and I never say anyone go and take care of the 4" sticking up rebars. Dangerous.

We stayed at Juniper West on Lake Texoma and had a great overall experience. The campground was clean, well maintained, and the sites were spacious enough to feel comfortable without being crowded. It was quiet, making it a relaxing place to unwind.
The lake access is convenient, and it’s a great location for kayaking, fishing, or simply enjoying the water. If you’re planning to swim, be aware that the shoreline here is mostly rocky. If you’re looking for a sandy beach, you’ll need to drive a short distance to another public use area.
The campground is pet friendly, and there was plenty of room to walk our dogs. The staff was friendly, and the facilities were kept clean throughout our stay.
Overall, Juniper West is an excellent campground if you’re looking for a peaceful place to camp with easy access to Lake Texoma. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors.

Overall a good experience. Nice trail along the lake. The restroom facilities are in need of some maintenance or upgrading but otherwise I enjoyed the stay.

Our stay was great as always, but we were lucky to be at one of the three sites that still have a canopy over the picnic table. The next stay which will be even hotter we will not be so lucky. The camp sites were shut down all last summer, plenty of time to get them put back up. Really need that shade when it gets hot. Also, we went down to the boat dock to do some night fishing and no working light at boat ramp or dock. Hope these things get fixed soon or will be looking at other places to do our camping.

The C side was horrible. They did not replace the awnings after the flood. Rey few repairs were made. Bathrooms are still closed. Not many RV’s there. Mainly tents for fishing along the shoreline. We will be finding another spot to camp and boat. Very disappointing after camping there for several years.

When I got there Buford Martins space 20 was taken up but we found a space on 17 that did not have a anyone booked til the day we let so it worked out better for us

D13 is, in my opinion the spot for someone wanting good shade and privacy. The only drawback is the road noise.

When we arrived at Juniper Point the gate attendant advised us there was a tent camper in our reserved spot that wanted to speak with us about switching spots. The attendant was informed that we preferred to have our reserved spot and the tent camper needed to move.
The attendant made absolutely no effort to make the tent camper move from our reserved spot. We had to make the tent camper move without any assistance from the gate attendant. This situation should have been handled by the gate attendant. During our 2 night stay we realized that the tent camper was homeless and living in the tent, which would not be a problem, except for the fact that we noticed 5 separate males arrive and spend about an hour or so with the single female tent camper. These individuals had to give their spot number to the gate attendant upon entering the park. So, my concern is that the gate attendants are aware that something sketchy is occurring at this campers site and are doing absolutely nothing about it. Drugs? Prostitution? Not sure, but it does not appear to be something that families with children should be witnessing. We will give Juniper Point one more chance with our next camping trip that is already planned and if this is still an issue we will camping elsewhere in the future.

After the flooding of Lake Texoma last year there is some lasting impacts including mud on all of the picnic tables. Many of the sites have had washout issues and need to be leveled. Otherwise the park is quiet and has great access to the lake from both shore and the boat ramp area.

This campsite is the perfect combination of shade and access to the lake. On this side there are no regular toilets and no showers but those are available on the other side of Juniper Point.

We love this campground but it has fallen into disrepair. It gets “transient” traffic from the highway. This puts adverse pressure on the bathrooms and it shows. They need to get the bathrooms in working order again at a minimum.

The Campground is easy to get into and out of. We stayed in C27 with Beautiful views of the Lake and right on the water! Good water and water pressure. Electric (30 and 50) works well with no problems for us. The facilities on the East Side are not good at all. The bath house is on the West Side which crosses a busy highway and pretty much requires you to drive over there. The boat ramps are good and there are small piers. Overall, the campground needs a little TLC, gravel maintenance, etc. However, we will return for sure.

Our Church loved this spot! Thanks to the US Army Corps of Engineers always so passionate with us, they were always willing to allowed us to used this site every Easter. We’re so grateful for and always looking forward to continuing camping at this spot because it is very secluded and safe for the families.

The area is wide open to traffic. No security at all. No one was in the entry office. It looks like drugs are being sold in this area. We watch the same vehicle's every night. They go to the hiking area to do business. Cars coming and going. We left four days early. We were really scared. I think we will stick with state parks in the future.

The campground itself is very nice. We love the paved sites and the grounds are always kept clean. The only problem is the toilet and shower facilities are not. This trip the mens restroom was totally closed, and with the added people using the womans restroom, it needed constant cleaning and maintenance. Totally out of toilet paper at one time. Hopefully with the rebuilding on the east side they will then come to the west and do some much needed repairs.

Site D01 on the West side was great for my tent. The West side has been consistent over the years for cleanliness and peacefulness. This location is forever on my radar whether passing through for a night or staying for a week.

There’s a great walking trail on the west end of the park. I walked it every day for five miles or so, but it goes for miles and is well maintained. The trail head area looks pretty good for shore fishing. Got a casino across the bridge (didn’t go there but looks like a good place). Just a 15 minute drive south to town to get stuff. Probably one of the best COE parks around Lake Texoma area.

The bathrooms and showers were locked. The water was turned off to my site and wasn’t aware till after I paid and booked the spot in small font on the email. My camp site D12 was absolutely horrible!!! I will never camp here again due to this.

I Love Juniper Point but when we got there we had set up and ready to stay, only to find out that the water had been turned off and bathrooms were locked up . We had to leave that very night and go back home. I was unable to cancel the reservation and get any money back. I do plan on coming back sometime but was very upset and disappointed

We stayed in D08. Nice spot for us. We have been here before but stayed on the east side of the park. I didn't realize the water is turned off in the park when I booked. I reached out to the camp host and he told me about an available water spigot. We had to hook back up and get water in our trailer from a active water spigot by the restrooms. All was good then! We will be back with our friends on another adventure next year.

Nice camp ground. My only criticism would be that it would be nice if the Rv sites had full hook ups. Other than that it was great. Nice boat ramp at the facility. The hiking trail seems to be a popular attraction.

This is a great small park with large cement pads for all RV's. During the day it is a little noisy because of the road, but at night it quiets down. We usually stay for one night because we are traveling through. I would recommend this park.

We really like Juniper Point West. There appeared to be no camp host. The door on the men’s restroom wouldn’t lock. It appeared possibly people who were not camping were using the showers.
