I wish I would’ve known that there was such an uphill to the campsite! Absolutely beautiful, gorg campgrounds. Just would have loved a heads up that the .5 mile is all uphill ! :)

The campers right next to us screamed the whole night, we really wanted to enjoy camping and it sadly was ruined. We are a fairly young couple and tried to reason they’re just young adults having fun. But this was a whole level of disrespect. We did not want to say anything due to being right next to them, the fear of bad actions towards us.

We had a great experience camping here! The campground was clean, peaceful, and well maintained. The restrooms were very clean, which we really appreciated. We brought two large tents, and both fit comfortably on our campsite 39. The only downside is that the campsites are very close together, so you can easily hear conversations and noise from neighboring campers. Also, be prepared for the walk up to the campsite—the hill is very steep. We needed two wagon trips to haul all of our camping gear up, so keep that in mind if you’re bringing a lot of equipment. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Just plan ahead if you have a lot of gear, and don’t expect much privacy due to the proximity of the campsites.

Great campground! Shady, decent amount of space between most sites. Beach directly across the street within walking distance. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. The biggest improvement would be the cleanliness of the bathrooms. They needed more cleaning. Will def be back.

Prefect location. Loved being in the trees and able to walk to the lake across the street. Only reason not 5 starts is one of the bathhouses backed up and flooded while we were there and they didn't fix it (that I know of) during our stay. We had an RV with hookups so it was fine but for tent camping that could have been quite inconvenient.

Front desk was rude and the rv/trailer spots do not have bear boxes. We did not feel comfortable in our pop up trailer especially after hearing the employees talk about how often bears have been ripping into cars. The place is also expensive. I know it isn’t the same experience, but when you can get a hotel room in the area for cheaper than this campground’s small area to simply park on, that ruins the spirit of camping.

We had a great time in spot 189. Rv sites are not wide so be ready for a tight fit. We loved being at the top of the hill. We could see the lake through the trees! Tent campers are next door and we were worried it would be awkward with how close they were but it wasn't. Quiet nights and mornings and a short easy walk to the beach was great! Don't waste anytime at the restaurant for dinner though. Every employee at the campground was very friendly and was on top of keeping it clean and organized!

The guy that drove around in the golf cart was so helpful when we were trying to back the trailer. He went above and beyond find people whose vehicles were in our way to have them move them so we could get into our spot.

The location is 5 stars. However, the sites are not level which is really annoying. My site was borderline unusable. My front stabilizers were maxed out in order to get level and it was stressful. Be careful when booking a spot. Some are more level than others. Also, the laundry was out of order for the entire 7 days we were there. Nobody seemed to know what was along on in the office.

The campsite is well-located, just across the road from the lake. The facilities are good for a large RV, offering electricity, water, and other hookups. However, the laundry was out of order, and the convenience store at the reception had very few items for those who forgot to pack essentials. The main area for improvement is staff training. On the 4th of July, the staff almost blocked us from entering. As our car stopped to drop us off near the entrance, the staff started yelling that we couldn't park there, assuming we were just beach visitors. They wouldn't listen to us. Once they finally realized we were registered guests with an RV parked inside, they looked embarrassed. I highly recommend better customer service training for the local team.

Great campground. If you do the walk-in sites, prepare to walk UPHILL for a long while before you get to the back ones. There was also a bear scavenging that tore through several campsites overnight and demolished their food supplies. I don't think they had things properly stowed, so just be bear aware! Super awesome location right off the beach - just a short five minute walk. Shower facilities also available.

Great location, but cleanliness needs improvement Zephyr Cove has a fantastic location with easy access to the Lake Tahoe beaches. The bathroom and shower facilities themselves are great, but the major downside is the upkeep. Even though we stayed during non-holiday weekdays, the restrooms, showers, and garbage areas were not cleaned frequently enough—it felt like they weren't even being attended to daily. It’s a wonderful park, but the maintenance definitely needs to step it up during the week.

Zephyr Cove is a great location. The campers are packed in, but the shower was hot and forceful. The hook ups are in great shape and the restaurant across the street, plus the beach, plus the ferry ride are all positives for this location.

Awesome park in a great location. Staff were very cordial and helpful, at check in, the store, and down around the beach. It was great having full hook ups at a park that's been around for so long. Spots can be a little tight for larger towables, but it worked out.

Campground was nice and close to the lake, but you have to cross a pretty major highway to get to the lakefront. There are walk signals though. My biggest complaint is that the laundry room was out of order- not one machine, the whole room! That was one of the major factors for me in booking Zephyr Cove, I’d been on the road for over a week and needed to do some laundry.

The beach across from the street is a great place to visit to relax and enjoy the sunset. On the other hand, everyone is very close to each other. The RVs are just a few feet from each other. At my location, 5 RVs are packed together. There is a lack of privacy.

The overall condition of the facility has gone down over the years. They need more trash pickups, all people were forced to leave items outside next to cans. Talk about bear food. There needs to be better attention to the cleanliness of the restrooms. I believe they should be serviced at least twice a day. Many of the lights in the various rooms did not work. Weeds were abundant throughout the sites. Now that there are no longer any discounts, I feel they facility should be better taken care of.

This place is large but just a huge dustbowl with very uneven sites. Theresa at the front desk was one of the worst examples of park personnel we have encountered. She was rude, short, and not helpful at all. She needs to find another job because clearly she does not like her current one. We initally got a site that was 11" off level in a motorhome. We asked if we could move and her answer was 'we're full. I asked about some of the empty sites (I had already scoped out which ones might be closer to level) and she finally said 'Well we have some drive in sights that are not reservable'... I told her 'well we just drove in and we are here... she then looked and mentioned a couple... One of them is the exact one that not only a minute before was 'full'. I could NEVER recommend this park to anyone. BTW we have been RVing for over 25 years so not new to staying in parks. Be careful but YMMV

Facility is very nicely maintained, with many accommodations, including full hook-ups, showers, and flush toilet bathrooms in several locations in the campground. Roads in this campground are extremely tight, so backing in with a lot of experience is needed. We scouted out this campground before we reserved a site, so that we would know the approach and clearances that we needed for our toy hauler. Knowing the length of the site is not enough—there are trees and branches and other obstacles that can affect your approach in this campground. We will absolutely return to this campground! The resort facilities are awesome, including beach access directly across the street, boat rentals, parasailing, a lake cruise, full restaurant, gift shop, and more. Well worth the cost to stay!

We have been camping at Zephyr for 35 years. Always loved the grounds and employees. When we checked in the bathrooms and showers were trashed. Not just messy but disgusting. Trash and toilet seat covers all over the floor, cans full, sink and mirrors nasty. We stayed 3 days, during that time the bathrooms and showers were untouched. Zero maintenance. When we left the last morning they still had not been touched. Employees driving around on carts but no cleaning. Never had this problem before. For 100 dollars a nite they can surely do better. Will it stop me from coming back… no we love Zephyr Cove. Just no sure what’s going on this year.
