Overview
Bald Ridge Creek Campground is on Lake Sidney Lanier, popular for its aqua-blue waters and spectacular scenery. Each year, over 11 million visitors travel to Lake Sidney Lanier for fantastic fishing and boating on the beautiful reservoir in northern Georgia.Recreation
Bald Ridge Creek Campground offers many outdoor recreation opportunities including fishing, swimming, and bike riding. On the lake there are opportunities for wake boarding, kayaking, boating and much more. There's also a swimming beach and boat ramp available for campers.Facilities
The 82 campsites come with electric and water hookups (no sewer hookups). Additional conveniences in the well-maintained park include a dump station, laundry facilities, and restrooms/bathouses.Natural Features
Lake Sidney Lanier is nestled in the foothills of the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains. The lake features 692 miles of shoreline and spans 38,000 surface water acres and 17,000 acres of lush terrain. By boat, there's plenty of coves and islands to explore on the lake. For land activities, head to the Sawnee Mountain Preserve for hiking, rock climbing and an interactive visitors center for kids. This was the 3rd time camping at Bald Ridge; we really enjoy this campground and staff, unfortunately we received a notice the campground will not open for 2024 season.

September 2023. Site 8. Lake was low. Site 8 has no shade from the West Sun. Nice Park, all it needs is sewer hook-up and Wi-Fi.

Beautiful area and the camping sites are excellent. Easy access and large. New washroom is great and hope the update the older ones. Beach perfect and everything was clean.

the park was overgrown grass knee high trees down and just unkept. I have camed here for 20 years and never seen the park in such condition.

The pictures of the site 52 is a big lie! The grass was overgrown, there’re big threes fallen blocking the way to the beach and is kind of in the middle of the street! Nothing like the pictures they show online, we left the place right away because we were worried for the safety of our children and I call customer service (nice lady that agreed with me) but after a couple of days I received an email, of course they denied the money back request. First time I have this awful experience at a campground, we’ll never come back here.

Great campground for our 26' camper.
Level, clean sites with generous room for camper cars, gear, chairs and awning.
Great vies of the lake. Great walking trails around the park along the lake.
Close to stores and restaurants but set back on the lake for that " away from everything" feeling.
Ice and firewood conveniently available at the entrance gate and very reasonably priced.

Gate attendants were very helpful and knowledgeable. The site was clean except for the fire pit. Rest rooms and showers were very clean. There are many dead trees and piles of branches everywhere that need cleaned up. A second dump station needs to be added.

This park is a disgrace. It was one of the nicest parks operated by the core a few years ago. Grass not cut. Limbs and debris everywhere. Playground equipment dirty and unsafe to approach. I ask the attendant if I could bring some equipment to cut the grass and clean up and I was told it was not advisable.

Really enjoyed camping here. Decided to stay despite the reviews. Everything seemed up to date. Campsite was clean, everyone was friendly. Bathrooms were pretty much clean but could be cleaned up more. Only issue is the gates being locked at 10:30. What if someone in a wheelchair or something of that sort pulls up with camping equipment in the middle of night and can’t get to their campsite? They also told us as we got there no camp host will let us in. So all of that was strange. Hope they change it one day. Otherwise no issues at all! Felt very safe.

This place has always been one of our favorites on lake Lanier. But lately it's been looking run down. The grass around the sites is always tall. The trees in the water make it hard to swim and fear of snakes hiding in trees or tall grass. We were there during the tornado in July and then again in September. The trees that fell in the campground are still laying where they fell and limbs where we helped cut down.

Super nice host checking in; super nice level, clean, bug-free site (pull-thru site 41); super nice, clean bathrooms. Only downfall is there's only one dump station, but we didn't have to wait too long. Oh, and no recycling bin. Otherwise, it was super!! :)

Wonderful park. Tons to do, great facilities. Loved the Disc Golf course ... it is tough for sure but we still had fun.
Camp loops are pretty tight. We had no problems with our 36ft pusher but I could see how longer trailers etc could have a rough time parking in certain spots. Take some time booking to make sure your site will work.
We visited mid-week and can see how on holidays or weekends it could be super busy.

Used to be our favorite park to camp. Staff is great and very friendly. Maintenance around the park has been lacking over the last couple of years. Trees that have fallen are just left lying around and the grass is infrequently mowed and then only around camp sites.

The leveling of the site was amazing. The lake level was a little low so we didn't get to enjoy the fun experience. Overall we were very satisfied with the campground.

Loved our site, but a lot of debris was all over the campgrounds from prior storms. It made the place look a bit sloppy which it usually is not. New bath facility is very nice. Lake is low and I got 2 dings in my boat prop just picking up passengers at the dock. The dock should be moved further into the lake so there is more than 2' of water at the dock. We ended up having to load passengers by wading out on the boat ramp...NOT GOOD!

Site 75 - Very clean and the spots were really large. Quiet. We didn’t have good reception at our site for T-Mobile. Verizon we got 3 bars on 4g. Closer to the gate you can get better reception.

The Army Corp of Engineers has given up on Bald Bridge Campground. Grass is 2+ feet high in your camp site and down trees have not been removed. Very sad to see the condition of this beautiful campground. The Campground host are very nice, but the lack of maintenance is not in their control.

Love this campground, but we are extremely disappointed with the upkeep of this park. Weeds knee high around campsites and debris still all over park from storm 1 month ago. Something needs to change!

Bald Ridge use to be our favorite campground but due to budget issues they have let it run down. They don’t cut the grass and haven’t cleaned the fire pits in our last 3 visits. We now take our own blower and weed eater to cut and clean the site. Very depressing how they are letting it go. Also, no one man’s the checkin after 5-6 so anyone can just come in, they can camp on an empty site and leave the next morning and nobody will know. Again, a little extra unsafe…..
They need to get their act together and bring back the campgrounds.

The Camp site 53 was in a Good spot Next to the Lake. Parts of The Lakefront had downed Pine Trees all over from a Storm Three weeks ago. The Camp Site Smelled Like Urine all over making it not enjoyable. The Bathrooms were Nice Showers Hot ! Fishing was Great

The park has really become run down, grass not cut, etc, volunteers hardly ever available, going to the dogs lately. Our favorite park on the lake, painful to see it going down now after all these years of being a pristine campground. Fishing nonexistent, trees along shoreline till they rot.

Other than the lake being down a couple feet below normal it was a great stay. Ranger came by and gave the grandkids some coloring books and a frisbee which was very unexpected. The central bathhouse has been totally redone with 4 individual shower rooms in the front, and toilets and sinks in the men's and ladies rooms in the back. It is a great campground for kids to ride bikes and have fun.

We love the location, nice host. For 9 years we’ve been spending two weeks at Bald Ridge during July 4th. This year was a slight let down as Management has cut back on maintenance of the grounds. Our grass was shin high when we checked in and was not cut for two weeks during our stay and was knee high when left. (Bring your on mower) One new RR/Shower building has open and is nice.
Management needs to reassess priorities as campers will pay for nicer facilities, just look at Lanier Islands as it’s full and campers paying $100 to camp there. Please keep the camp ground up, reassess how you schedule maintenance crews. Have all mowers cut together at one campground per day as five campgrounds will have been cut and appreciated by all. Just saying. Maybe less management and more maintenance would work. Just saying.

Bald Ridge has been our annual birthday and 4th of July celebration for years! We absolutely love it, but we noticed a lack of care in the bathrooms and a lot of grown up grassy areas that we’ve not encountered before. Hopefully this is just an isolated issue!

Low tree branches throughout the park that are unavoidable with a 5th wheel. Grass was very high and restroom were not cleaned. The trash can in the restroom was not emptied for our entire 5 day stay. My main concern is the tree branch that can damage an RV’s roof. We will not return unless this issue is addressed. This used to be one of the nicest COE parks on Lake Lanier, unfortunately management has some major issues to address with the current situation.

Campground is poorly maintained. The grass hadn't been cut in so long that it was waist high in places. We ended up cutting it ourselves. The newly built bathroom had malfunctioning locks on shower doors. Those doors opened up to the exterior so anyone could pay you an accidental visit mid-shower. No trash bins in the bathroom. Our waterfront campsite had several large pine trees wich appeared to have been intentionally cut down and dumped in the water.

We’ve always loved Baldridge. This time the grass was very high between campsites (we were told due to cuts) so bugs were bad. Bathrooms were not cleaned regularly. No one was at the entry gate so we didn’t feel as secure as we normally have. Very sad.
