## Overview

Spring Canyon Campground, on the shoreline of Lake Roosevelt, is perfect for
those who enjoy being on the water. The 130-mile long lake is a feature of the
Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. The lake is named after
President Franklin D. Roosevelt and is a part of the Lake Roosevelt National
Recreation Area, managed by the National Park Service.  
  
Campers have the convenience of a day-use swimming area and plenty of space to
sit back and soak up the summer sun and cooler days of spring and fall.

300 yards downhill from the campground. The Day Use area also has a

campground is mostly gravel and packed dirt, with not much vegetation, on the
lake shore. It can be reached by boat and has a boat launch and dock. Jones
Bay can be also be reached by car, but may be difficult to find.

## Recreation

Jones Bay is popular with people that like a more remote primitive site. There
is access to the water with a small boat ramp. Fishing is great from the water
or the shore.
