Paha
Overview
Paha Campground is located just 10 miles from Bridgeport, California, next to Robinson Creek at an elevation of 7,000 feet. The Twin Lakes area is close by, offering boating, fishing, hiking and horseback riding opportunities.
Reservations are non-transferable. Re-selling of reservations will render the reservation invalid. If you hold an invalid reservation, you will not be permitted to camp on the site.
Recreation
Robinson Creek offers good rainbow trout fishing and can be easily accessed from within the campground. Numerous hiking trails are in the vicinity, including the popular Robinson Creek Trail.Facilities
The campground contains several single-family sites, one of which is ADA accessible, and there are two double sites and one furnished yurt. All sites are equipped with picnic tables, food storage lockers and campfire rings with grills. Flush toilets, drinking water and trash collection are provided. Firewood is available for purchase.Robinson Creek South Campground is nearby, where educational programs are held at its amphitheater on weekends from July 4 through Labor Day.
Natural Features
The campground is situated alongside Robinson Creek, where a forest of massive Jeffrey pines towers over the site, offering partial shade. Lodgepole pines, sagebrush and summer wildflowers dot the landscape.Nearby Attractions
Upper and Lower Twin Lakes are nearby, offering beautiful mountain scenery, boating, canoeing and fishing for Kokanee salmon and rainbow and brown trout. The rugged and scenic Hoover Wilderness Area can be accessed from the Twin Lakes area and offers additional trails for hiking and horseback riding.Charges & Cancellations
Reservation sites will be held until check out time (12 pm) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the Campground Manager will be able to modify your reservation.

Fees
Camping fees for single sites include one vehicle. (Double sites and yurt
include 2 vehicles). Extra vehicle fee of $6 per vehicle per night is due at
the kiosk in the campground. Extra vehicle parking is limited. Vehicles must
fit on asphalt pad of campsite. See host for alternative parking if needed.
Directions
Take U.S. Highway 395 through Bridgeport. Turn south on Twin Lakes Road at the
Shell gas station. Travel 9.6 miles on Twin Lakes Road. Turn left into the
campground.
Stay Limit
Check in from 2 PM, check out by 12 PM.

The campground is wonderfully situated on the river/creek with trails leading right out of the campground. Bathrooms and campground were clean. Campground host was friendly and attentive, even lending my toddler son some toys which he enjoyed during our stay. I highly recommend this campground!

Very quiet and clean campground in the greater Twin Lakes area. The best sites are those next to Robinson Creek. I've been going there for years and it never gets old.

Best view of the mountains, and great spot for star gazing at night. Not alot of shade so be ready with ezups. Kimo the camp host was the best and was great to have him around

I loved my short stay at Paha. The yurt was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. The camp host was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to staying there again.

Kimo the camp host keeps the camp clean and organized. The water was on too! Last year not. Virginia lakes, Bodie, and tuolumne great places to visit.

We were so impressed with the campground host Kimo! He introduced himself to all the campers that came in and out. He made sure everything ran smoothly.

Very nice campground with a helpful camp host (Kimo). Everything was great with the campground we just wish we had better weather, were not expecting snow, rain and wind at the end of May.

It's a great campground, and the campground host was very helpful. Most everyone in the camp was very considerate, except on the last night, when there was one site that played loud music till 11. There was no running water the week we stayed, due to some sort of contamination at the source, but we were all made aware of the situation and the bathrooms still worked 🥳.

Great campground! Nice creek runs along the east side of the campground where you can wade or fish. No service at the campground but the general store at Twin Lakes has free wifi

Campground spot 2 has no trees and is very hot in the summer. Not a good spot. There were other spots available once I got there but they don’t allow swaps without payment.

Too many squirrel/rat/mice noises
Floor boards has wide gaps and so mice were able to come through and they were inside the yurt making noise during the night.

Everything went really well except for the campers who were next to us. For the first time in over 30 years I had a problem with neighbors. This one time the 2 ladies who were camped next to us gave me and my party a hard time. We could not walk 30 feet near there campsite and gave everyone a hard time until I told the camp manager who put them in there place. I thank Joy the camp manager with all my heart.

We felt the host was rude and blamed us for leaving the trash out, which we didn’t. He also gave us a ticket for a second vehicle which I had already paid for in the reservation. Other than that, we love the site and look forward to next year.

Lovely campsite next to the creek, with plenty of shade for the hot afternoon hours. Very clean facilities. Water noise was helpful for blocking out noise from RV generators, but they were pretty good at turning them off at night anyway. A few inconsiderate people leaving or arriving during early morning hours shining headlights into our tents, but that's car camping for you. Young bear visited the campground one night and got into some coolers of a group that ignored the warning to use the bear box.

The campground itself is amazing! Super close to Twin Lakes and great campsite spots along the creek. Fellow campers are nice. Campsites have a fire ring and beat box for food. Host was not friendly and didn’t seem to want to be there.

I love this campground. I am frustrated that people reserve and don't show up. We work hard to get a site and there are empty ones that people aren't showing up for. If they aren't there the first night they should lose the site. You remind people at least 3 times so they should respond that they aren't showing on the reservation date or cancel.

Campground was clean and quiet with the exception of a few generators. Maybe rethink "quiet time" hours. 6:00 a.m. for generators is a bit early.
Our site was clean and close to Robinson creek. Restrooms with the R.V. toilets much better than the "pits of doom". They were clean and well stocked.
If you like big trees, shade, and awesome creek in an awesome national forest, this is a recommended stop over.

The campground was clean and the bathrooms were cleaned in the morning. The campsite we had #004 was not user-friendly. This site is supposed to be able to accommodate 12 people but if your group has plans to gather around the campfire this is not the site to stay at. The camp host for this campground really made it difficult for us to enjoy our time. At one point we could see her hiding behind a tree watching us while we made dinner and gather around the campfire the best we could.

We found the camp host to be very helpful and accommodating. The site we initially reserved was not adequate for our travel trailer (too much slope - good for campers only) - he was able to help us find a more appropriate site for our stay. Also, the facilities were clean and entire area appeared to be well managed.

A very nice campground close to excellent lakes and hiking. The low number of camping plots keeps this campground quiet and calm. The bubbling creek also provides great background noise, and many spots have views of the buttes. Only negative was the cleanliness of the toilets. The men’s room was significantly dirtier and unkept than the women’s.

The toilets were gross of course, but the included drinking water spout was amazing. Although, I think the YURT could HIGHLY benefit from filling in all the cracks and gaps in the wooden floor. there were multiple instances of bugs crawling into my bed while sleeping, including a cockroach and big spider. If the floor gaps were filled in it would be perfect, maybe some insulating foam would work. And the camp resident was very nice!

Campground host was great! He helped us get a better site that was unoccupied next to the creek. Bathrooms were clean, although the technology for the hybrid "flush" toilets seems flawed. The forest service should go back to the drawing board to design some new "heads." Would definitely come back to this location!

The creek was awesome and we caught a lot of fish. The water was moving way too fast for the kids to play in the water, but they still had a great time. The campground was quiet and the creek put us to sleep at night. There were tons of stars! We loved that the campground was smaller and spaced out. The kids were able to ride their bikes and we didn’t feel like the sites were on top of each other. There were tons of chipmunks and deer that came through. We stayed in #13, it was great except most of the day it was in direct sunlight, but there was shade in the evening. The only other negative were the amount of bugs due to the creek. The whole family was covered in mosquito and other bug bites. We saw giant black ants too.

Our trip was exceptional. the camp hosts are amazing in the PaHa campground. I wish they would plant more fish in Robinson creek for the kids to catch in the campgrounds. My only complaint is people swimming in the creek in the campground. In the past few years it has gotten worse for us fishermen. We will be returning next year.
