Heber Springs
Overview
Heber Springs Park is located on Greers Ferry Lake in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of north-central Arkansas. The environment provides the ideal location for family camping, fishing, boating and hiking.
Recreation
Greers Ferry Lake is an outdoor enthusiasts' dream, with boating, sailing, water skiing, swimming, scuba diving, and fishing opportunities. Hikers enjoy the area's three National Nature Trails and one multi-purpose, fitness trail.
The William Carl Garner Visitor Center is just west of the dam, with exhibits, a children's touch table, and a replica of the world record 40 lb. 4 oz. brown trout caught in the Little Red River downstream of the center.
Facilities
This campground offers 114 sites, 95 of which have electrical hookups. Additional amenities include flush and vault toilets, showers, a dump station, playground and a boat ramp.
Natural Features
Greers Ferry Lake is known for it's deep, clean waters. The visibility is so clear, scuba diving is a popular pastime.A dense mix of red cedar, black gum, red oak, elm, pecan and sweet gum trees forest the area, providing shade in the summer months and beautiful fall color in autumn.
Wildlife is plentiful around Greers Ferry Lake. Visitors commonly see white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, squirrels and a wide variety of birds.

From Heber Springs, AR, travel 2 miles west on SR-110, then .5 miles north on
the paved access road. Follow signs to campground.

Our camp spot was excellent, 250 ft from the lake. The bath houses are good, Nice, clean, roomie, and great the stalls are nice. Close to town without feeling like it is.

A17 at Heber Rec area is very sloped. We could not get our 32 ft camper leveled in that site.

the recreation.gov website is the absolute worst site to utilize.
you can't get an accurate picture of the site you are renting
you can't talk to anyone
when you arrive, your RV may fit on the site. But the site may not have enough level ground to level your RV
unless you are able to go by and see the site in advance, you are taking a HUGE! gamble.
I do not like the web site...

This campground had lots of space between sites for kids to roam and play. Had a blast at the swimming area too. Clean area and water hookup.

We stayed at site D44 with my family. It was very peaceful. We set up 3 tents and still had room. I would go again and would recommend this campground. The swim beach was pretty cool too

Very clean quite and all around great time I took my grandchildren and they loved it I use to go when I was a little girl so I’m carrying on the tradition I’m praying they take their children and then the next several generations we fished and swam camped out in a tent roasted marshmallows over the fire it was great thanks for a lifetime of memories

The bathhouses are so old and could stand to be upgraded and there are not enough hooks to hang your things on. The skylights and windows need to be cleaned to let more light in. We have camped numerous times and the same dead bugs, lurking spiders and crawling creatures are still where they were from the times before. The lights inside the bath houses need to be on motion detection and not timers because at the time we took our showers, we had to use our phone lights to have enough light to see (at least) half of what we were doing because it wasn’t time for the lights to come on even though it was dark inside. More care needs to be given to the bathhouses because this is a reflection on your facility. Who wants to use a nasty bathhouse! You don’t even feel clean when you come out!

Park is declining. Camping spaces are needing resurfacing. Most of the space numbers are written over making them difficult to read. Bath houses are also declining. One bathhouse the windows are covered with bugs. Our friends in D area next to water, had knee high grass around there site and shoreline is grown up with vines and trees. Soon it will block the view. Hate to see this beautiful lake park so unkept.

This is our favorite spot! It is right on the lake where you can walk down and jump in or just sit on the rock. Be aware that during busy seasons, others will also use the rock so it might not be as private as you want. It didn’t bother us since camp is far enough away.

WE HAD A TERRIBLE ANT PROBLEM. THEY ENDED UP ALL IN OUR CAMPER AS WELL AS BRINGING A FEW HOME WITH US. PLEASE LOOK INTO THE ANT INFESTATION IN SITE A18

We had the best time! We loved the cliffs at Heber. We camped in tents. Only thing bad is that not a single bathroom has a soap dispenser. Do the people of Arkansas not wash their hands?

The bathroom windows have not been cleaned in a very long time and this would let more light in! The bathroom and showers are dark even in the daytime. The bathroom/shower house needs to be on motion sensors to go off and on when someone goes in instead of on timers. There has been so many times we’ve had to use flashlights or our phone lights to take a shower and get dressed! The camping areas, the park and everything else is good but the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired.

The bathrooms needs cooks around the sinks to hang things like your toiletries bag while putting on makeup, brushing your teeth…etc (for women) and shaving…etc for men! I hate sitting my bag in the floor.

We had a great time at this campsite. We had plenty of room. Our dogs had plenty of space to go out and use the restroom. We had easy access to some small cliffs, and not far from the public swimming area. We had a great time!

Spacious sites, clean, and comfortable. Main toilet has running water and showers, needs some basic maintenance. Electricity only at most sites. Consider purchasing a water bladder for extended stays. A small step above boondocking.

This is our FAVORITE place to camp! The only negative is that you only have electricity but even with that the view is amazing and worth doing without full hook ups ❤️ The bath house is always clean.

One of our favorite campgrounds. Clean bathrooms with showers, easy access to sites. Bridal Veil Falls is nearby, hiking trails, boating, and overall a beautiful area and clean lake to enjoy.

Wide open campground with lots of space between sites. It’s an older campground with rv back in spots that are not angled for easy parking. Difficult to park quickly, but doable. Only 30 amp service, so 50 amp equipment needs an adapter. Campground clean and nice bath house.

Nicely spaced campsites, quiet, and beautiful setting with plenty of shade. The only downside is that it's quite a hike from most of the campsites to the bathrooms.
