Dam Site(Greers Ferry)

This site, N15, was great. Some shade, some grass, plenty of room! Water and electric hook-ups. Not too far to the boat ramp and swimming area! The host was friendly and helpful. Our 50 amp shorted out and the host contacted maintenance and it was fixed lickedy split! We enjoyed our stay. It was very hot weather!

We have going to Damsite in Heber Springs for over 40 years and will continue as long as we are able to, we love it there.

Was unable to drive thu and pick a site Had to do it outside on line. People in the guard shack were RUDE.

We loved camping here. The water in the lake was nice and clear, my kids didn't want to leave. The campground is clean and also the bathroom and shower. We will definitely go back.

Gate attendants are great. Park is clean and well maintained.

Had a blast. Got lost looking for the site at nighttime tho. Maybe some lights by each entryway just so it can be seen better at night.

The female host that lives in the second trailer and drives the red jeep was very rude down right hateful ..

We have camped here several times in the past in the M area. Sites are large and close to showers. Walking trails are nice and lake is wonderful! We will be back!

Site was close to a swimming area and the area was clean and the bathroom was cleaned regularly.

They were out of camp sites with electric and had to get one with out electric.Neighbor party all night.Not good 1 st day.2 day rain

Great place to take your family.

We were in H9, which had boulders and large rocks at the campsite, as well as a concrete table, fire and grill area, and a large flat area for placing a tent if you choose to do so. The driveway area for the RV was angled, so leveling was a challenge but worked out. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned well and often, and were a short walk away. The walk to the water was also a short walk in the other direction from the bathrooms. There are a couple of trails that will take you to a beautiful swimming shore where rock formations exist both at the surface and below the water. The water is crystal clear and the swimming is ideal. A little further along the shoreline you can jump from the rocks there. It is a treasure. Please remember to take out what you brought in, as various groups of people left behind broken floaties, bottles, cans, fishing string, even a diaper. Not cool. You cannot bring in your own wood unless it came from designated area locations, and campers sought out and gathered wood from the grounds to make campfires. It actually helps keep the campground pretty clear. The only downside is that you can expect massive amounts of campfires and smoke. The first night was so thick in smoke it was a challenge because there was no way not to breathe it in, and I wondered about people with asthma and other breathing difficulties. The second night was less but still prelevant in smoke. We plan to return absolutely, perhaps to a different campsite that is closer to the trail that leads to the water. That water area is close to the marina, so most watercraft are mindful of swimmers, although you do receive occasional waves from wake. My husband snorkeled and loved the rock formations and abundance of fish and hopes to return to the spot to dive.

We love coming to dam site!! The water was so nice for swimming. The bath house was very clean. We had a wonderful time with our granddaughter from AZ. It was her 1st camping trip.

The best camping trip every time we go

I very much Recommend Dam site Campground in Heber springs Arkansas. The Park Ranger and Everyone who works at the Gate House go above and beyond duty for the safety and Comfort of the guest...Very Amazing people. Plus it's a beautiful place and very well kept, clean and enjoyable!

We had a little difficulty getting in the gate, the lock was stuck, but when the guy with the bounce house got there he tapped on the lock with a ping hammer and it finally unlocked. The grass needed to be mowed, but not many people walked out in the grass. The pavilion was clean and ready to use. We wiped down the tables and began cooking.. It was a great day of family and food… Great day at the lake..

The campsite was amazing!

Had an excellent time. Bathrooms were clean! Our spot was really close to the bathrooms. Showers were perfect. The park ranger and staff were so nice and treated us well. Only downfall was TICKS. This year it was really bad! I took over 6 off me, my kids had them over there legs and hairlines.

Has a great time camping but we were 30 minutes late checking out due to mechanical difficulties and the park ranger was very rude and gave me a $105 ticket, stating that there were paying customers waiting on the site when in fact there was a major storm rolling in and people were leaving in droves, I'm highly doubtful that anyone was waiting to get washed away in the deluge that soon followed.

It was a lovely peaceful spot and even though it was vault toilets they were kept very clean.

When we got there we did not have room to put up our tents. We went to look for another spot. The online site did not allow me to transfer my site. I had to cancel my camping and use my daughter’s account to get another spot. Did I get a full refund? NO! I hate the online service! I miss when we got to go up there and first come first served.

Love the sites where not on top one another. Easy to find fire wood they have lumber cut and stacked next to other trees . Only thing is keep an eye out for ticks

Lot was very wet due to all the rain but I still loved it!

It was a nice stay camp ground was nice all sites in N loop r very good with young kids they can ride bikes and scooters around campsites

The campground was great for our Scout Troop. Fortunately, it was a quiet weekend and we could space out. The Scouts enjoyed the east side swimming area.

Pros: nicely shaded, sloped, great trees for multiple hammocks, close proximity to swim area, nice view of sunrise, short walk to bath house that was well cleaned daily Cons: No tent pad and rocky site, loud vehicles at boat ramp during quiet hours Our site was not well suited for tent camping. There really wasn’t a good tent pad and even with picking up a bunch of rocks, we still had plenty the could be uncomfortably felt underfoot (and under back) while in our tent. We also had one horrid neighbor who came in and loudly set up their site from about 11pm-2am with headlights pointing right where I was trying to sleep. During the daytime, we were subjected to their rap and bro country that they were playing loud enough to be heard clearly a quarter of a mile away. They weren’t the only noise problem though. Unfortunately, the road to/from the boat ramp runs right behind this site and there were trucks pulling their boats during quiet hours too, some of which didn’t have great mufflers. I would not recommend this site if you’re in a tent. It’s probably great if you’re in a RV as you don’t have to deal with the rocks and can maybe dampen out the noise of bad neighbors and the boat ramp at night.

We stayed in N7 for one night. Just testing our RV and Toad. We also tested our Starlink mini with a few trees around. It was great!

The facilities are nice and swim area is too. The park employees are well mannered and nice as well. Most of the camp areas are perfect although some are small and only big enough for a tent and small car. But there are plenty of camping areas for large campers as well.

Very nice campsites. Roomy with picnic tables and fire pits at each site. Easy in and out of tv sites
